Brokered a six figure domain today. Half a year into domaining and I'm pumped.

I am actually comparing it. I see this as a venue for venting success and failures. Not all about hard numbers. In my opinion.
I wanted to share and did so. Im sorry I couldn't navigate through your hard set of rules what is okey to post about and what is not. It's a maze to be honest to which standards people should live up too according to you.

You can do what you want, as can I.......to a certain extent anyway

There is nothing wrong with questioning someone, or having an opinion as no one can be agreement all the time....

As I said i disagree with this, but it is not personal.....

So am I and when a big majority posts critics or skepticism I do not have to join them to be on the stronger side of a discussion.

So why do you continue to post then? Let us leave this thread and go on. But I foresee others will pick up some of your keywords and try to construct something, again.

In another thread I read that talking about money is not British. I liked that. The given difference of global cultures can have creative results when they are clashing by discussion.

I am checking out now from this reality soap.

Pretty sure I said something along the lines that the monetary amount is immaterial/insignificant (or something similar)....

My last post was closure as I saw it.......I agreed to disagree with the OP.....

Will not be posting in here again - thought I was done already......

I think you are not doing the community a favor
in repeating your shoot-to-te-moon mantra over and over

basically you just want to promote your shoot-to-the moon thread
where you promote epik / com

    be alert, guys
a great domain can be shot to the moon
    an average domain can't

life is more complex as some people want you to think

    Hey.
I have earlier in the thread answer some questions. And I don't want to disclose more details. But I can answer some of your questions.

    How I got the job?

Darryl Lopez started a Telegram Group where people have come and went. I have been part of the group for a year and try to have as much fun as I can while learning. I have shared probably 50 of failed negotations since I started there. I seem to pretty easy get a discussion initiated with a potential buyer (mostly on Linked in as I told earlier). My problem is I haven't been able to close. That's the next step.

But while doing this and being open about my failures some people have recognised I maybe can do better with better names. So one experienced domainer a couple of months ago approached me and said he wanted to give me a shot. He had some businesses in mind. I started to reach out on different platforms and got successful on one of them.
The process was pretty straight forward. And slow, I think, don't have much to compare with.
The buyer was super polite in the how they handled themselves and we ended up meeting half-way. From day one it felt good and the deal was never really close to break down. At least I don't think so.

So I I can share something that some people maybe can take with them:
Have fun, share your experiences, get involved in a community and work hard with what you got. Eventually someone will recognise you and give you a chance.

I don't really like the way some people in this thread likes to sit themselves on high horses and tell me what is OK and what is not. And demand that I share stuff when I clearly have stated I share as much as I'm comfortable with.

I'm a sucker for good stories that gives me hope. So that was my intent.

    Peace

thank you @Dosebuy for taking the time to answer

    would you mind sharing
    how you met half way

so you asked for twice the amount initially?

    how did negotiation go?

    what was your tactic?

It may be time to close the thread @Dosebuy as the interactions of some domainers posting here is causing their 'Freudian slips' to show.

Again, great job and thanks for the added details.

Haha, yeah. Somehow I have lost the ability to lock threads and even edit them. So I let it sit here and watch it self-die :)

Not for you maybe. But everybody is not on your superior level.
My sole purpose is not to please people as accomplished as you. I have done the best I could under the limitations I have. Sorry you didnt like the thread.

Yes. Dose deserves props for being authentic and for surrounding himself with loyal advocates. For those who engage him on Telegram or elsewhere, his enthusiasm is hard to ignore.

Specific to this transaction topic, anyone who does use Epik for escrow can count on us to attest to the validity of their transaction, with or without without full disclosure.

The broker proceeds were split out from the sale proceeds.I know many escrow transactions where brokers get screwed on fees. We are able to protect the brokers in such cases. That can be quite helpful.

Also, this buyer paid via USD wire, but some proceeds are distributed in crypto. If we have crypto on hand, we don't charge a fee to convert to crypto. If we don't have enough crypto on hand, there are options.

As for the haters in the thread who took issue with celebratory comments fro Dose, I can only offer encouragement and hope that you also get a 6 figure sale soon and that you use proceeds for good!
