Sedo launches NEW Sales Landing Page

Hi all,

We were asked to provide a new sales landing page for those of you looking to prioritize the sale of domains over earning money with our parking program. We are therefore excited to launch our brand new Sales Landing Page for your domains listed at Sedo.
Overall, we’ve worked to create a minimalistic design making the sole focus of this landing page layout to aid the sale of the domains being offered.
What we deemed necessary for a more efficient sales landing page:
• Navigation, account features, and even the search bar within the header area as you know from the general Sedo Offer Details Page have been removed. The Sedo logo is the only thing remaining in the header area. This page is just about your domain.
• The Legal fine print has a smaller font size and combined with a lighter text colour it is less distracting, but still readable.
• The font size of the “For sale” information is much bigger to attract visitors attention.
• The size of “Make Offer”/“Buy Now” buttons were increased to a larger width and now are highlighted in a green color making them stand out better from the neutral background.
• We implemented a Trustpilot widget, which displays the positive Sedo-rating status. This boosts confidence in Sedo as a trustworthy business partner and marketplace, thus also increasing the CTR (Click-Through-Rate) for your domain offer.

The Sales Landing Page is responsive, fast and consistent for all domains listed at Sedo for Buy Now and Make Offer. If you want to see a live version from your own device, just visit hium.com.

You can easily select the new Sales Landing Page Layout if the domain is already parked with us directly in your Sedo account. Just log in, go to your Domain Management, select the domain and then choose “Selling” from the “Layout” tab.

We will continue to test its features, listen to your feedback and make improvements.

You really need to filter out the bot traffic on these pages. You are displaying traffic that is not accurate to the visitor....

Any chance this is in the works?

If you are a seller, why worry about bot traffic :p

Sedo domains don't have their own management page.
You can look at parking, to check stats, and realize there is traffic from a specific country for a domain,
and you suspect who might be interested and guess how much they would pay. So want to
add a price, but what, you need to leave domain management and instead go to "my domains",
search for the domain, and go to sales settings, and add price there. Waste of time and distraction.

Also why not show today's stats, ..for example I see there are 100 visits today for a domain, but untl today there was no traffic, so I become curious what kind of traffic is it, but when I look at traffic details for that domain, I don't see anything, because today's traffic is not shown.

For US traffic, I want to see states.

As a Domain-Seller, I do not care if there is also "bot-traffic" at the Landing-Page.

But SEDO should let me know the ID of the the party who is interested in buying my domain-name.
Doing this, will also increase the profit for SEDO.

I want accurate information displayed. Bot traffic makes it look like the domain is getting more traffic than it really is. Not honest in my book.

As a seller I want to see bot-free traffic, and as much info as possible about nature of that traffic. But buyers are naive and may think value comes from traffic. Sedo has a comment: "please send traffic stats", which is a totally stupid irrelevant question to be asked about a domain unless it is a natural type in domain like gogle.com . If I have a domain, and no real people visits it, and only bots visit it, it is still a good thing. So show sellers bot-free stats, and I don't care which version is shown to buyers.

Maybe Sedo should show appraisal values, when enabled by sellers.

Please also think about decreasing your commission-percentage for all Sales above USD 50K (for all Domains which are not using your "Domain-Parking"-program)

There should be a lower Sales-commisson, for example like this:
Sale-Price: up to USD 50K / SEDO-commission: 15% (the same percentage as currently implemented)
Sale-Price: USD 50K to USD 100K / SEDO-commission: 10% (suggestion / lower your commission)
Sale-Price: USD 100K to USD 200K / SEDO-commission: 8% (suggestion / lower your commission)
Sale-Price: USD 200K to USD 500K / SEDO-commission: 6% (suggestion / lower your commission)
Sale-Price: USD 500K and higher / SEDO-commission: 3% (suggestion / lower your commission)


Now you only need to implement a "RENT TO OWN"-option and improve the design of your new Landing-Pages.

These changes will make a huge difference and SEDO will make a lot more money.

If the domain is parked with either the sales lander or parking page and sells directly on our marketplace as buy now then the commission fee is 10% instead of 15%.

If you activate Sedos sales lander page then you can select the 'blank' version of the sales lander and the sellers country and other details will not show on the page.

we all know that SEDO makes a lot of money from Domains which are using your "Parking-Program".
However, it is clear that "Domain-Parking" is dangerous in various ways (trademarks, etc.) and potential Domain-Buyers are getting confused with ads - it is not obvious to the Domain-Buyer that the specific Domain-Name is for sale. Therefore, when using your "Parking-Program", the Domain-Seller is limiting his chances of the Domain being sold.
SEDO might make some money from ads with "Domain-Parking", but the Domain never gets sold. This is counter-productive both for the Domain-Seller as well as SEDO.


The highest SEDO-commission should be 10% , no matter whether a Domain is "parked with ads" or not.

DAN.com has a Sales-commission of 9% - they and other competitors are going to eat your lunch soon.

It seems you have a cap on counter offers. Why ???

I tried in make a counter-offer of EUR 8888888 on an incoming bid.
It is not possible. It gives an Error-message.

It is irrelevant which domain I am trying to sell for "such a large counter offer".
Please define "large".


As far as I am aware, there have been domains selling for similar "large" amounts or higher:

The domains which sell for amounts above this cap on our marketplace are either offers made with the assistance of a Sedo broker who can counter offer any value that they want on behalf of the seller or they are fixed price listings.

So if you have a domain negotiation ongoing and need to offer more than this amount then please send us an email to [email protected] and we will do it for you.

I will however put your suggestion forward to remove the cap so that our developments team can take it into consideration.

I am not going to change the URL-structure on all my domain-forwardings.....

Very easy method, it works for years...
Apply new lander in your Sedo settings and then forward your domain to: sedoparking.com/EXAMPLE.TLD
