Certainly, but seems not so much under Trump, it seems many states are flexing their muscles in all these policy debates with passing new laws that contradict federal law. Some effect the entire country, some not so much. It would interesting if a couple states declare they are a non sanctuary states, and they will fine any employer for hiring illegal aliens and actually support Federal law. That would be leadership.

2020 is really important to take back the house majority, I don’t really have a confident feeling if that will happen. If the insanity of AOC and her clown club continues, all it can do is help Trump. The candidates of the Democrats like Sanders, Harris and Booker are really unqualified to even operate a donut shop, let alone the US. Biden is lost, he is old tired and lost before. Same with Romney.

The economy needs to thrive and if something crashes 17 months ahead, well the US may be changed forever. Reparations, open borders, free illegal alien healthcare, end medicare, student debt forgiveness, all these stupid ideas worry me as getting passed say in 2025-2026. If they ruin SS completely as we know it, it will be scary.

Someone mentioned the other day that its no longer called Global Warming, but Climate change. Its about palatable propaganda.

Large scale manufacturing returning within the US, I remain skeptical. But small businesses need to find a way to compete and not be replaced by Amazon.

The permanent class will protect them. Even McConnell is a Career Swamper. I spoke to a friend in CA today, Gas prices include 43 cents now in newer taxes he said. I think the total is really more than that from past taxes.

Ah yes, the economy. that is where i feel we will falter no later than 2021, i actually expect it in 2020, and it is absolutely no fault of the President IMO, Monopolies were allowed to form far before the President even had even voiced running for office. Being he is unable to get legislation passed, laws on the books and so forth, I think we are headed for a recession that will hard effect the banks and lenders. the lenders have once again over extended themselves as they did in the last real estate bubble, credit card companies are way over extended IMO. Pretty much the same reasons we had our last recession has happened and still happening now. we got to happy to quick and once again are over extended in our market places.

Both you and i have lived through a lot of stuff, but the division of the US today is on a whole nother level, i feel we have reached the level of the possibility of a divide and concur level. young people simply do not understand how this takes the country down and there is absolutely nothing in it for them or good that can happen for anyone. right or left has nothing to do with final out come of the end result. there is no winner.

I don't have the time to enumerate everything that's wrong with this administration. Some have been conned into accepting it as normal. It isn't.

I have no problem with humanitarian aid, I would encourage it actually. A person doesn’t have to seek asylum in the country to receive a meal or humanitarian aid.

Many seek asylum merely to run away from the problems they have in their homeland, the asylum privilege has been abused for decades, it is due time stop it.

As for the people who fail to abide by the law and reapply for their visa, that has been abused for decades as well, they need to be deported out.

The reasoning for immigrant camps only exists because the immigrants claim to have rights in the US, they want their due process, which they are not actually entitled to, but non the less, so in waiting to get their due process, they are under detention, they are illegal. All these rights that illegal immigrants and immigrants alike are sponsored by groups like LuLAC. These immigrants may have rights under the Geneva convention, but most certainly do not have rights under our constitution.

How much respect does HE show for the people he was elected to SERVE? It’s a two way street.
