Good luck with your sales!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
That funnel sail is amazin! :tightlyclosedeyes: how u do dat and how u kno it supposed to be BIN at 9.5k? :)

Thanks! I really loved that sale too. I knew that the name had value to people with money. Funnels are a big internet marketing technique and one of the major players in the industry had books named Expert Secrets and Dotcom Secrets. He had used the EMD for both and I felt like there was a chance he might have a future book that matched the domain I bought or that someone in the industry would want to piggy back off his branding nomenclature.

Earlier this year I was moving all my landers to Undeveloped after some test success but keeping the names in Afternic for DLS exposure. The name was listed with a $12,500 BIN on Afternic and my strategy was to introduce names on Undeveloped at discount and then go back and get them all adjusted to where my net proceeds would be closer to even depending on where it sold. That way anybody that has been keeping an eye on a name will see a price reduction when they type it in and be motivated to move. It was a very exciting day to get that email. I have only ever had one bigger sale and I can't discuss it because it's financed with balloon payments. I don't want to jinx it. Hopefully all goes well with it and I can post about it next January.

You can see the power of hodling right here!
If you own a good domain, just hodl for long-term and you can get so much.

SOLD (N/A/V/I)dotco for $15,000
bought 6 months back for a premium registration price (do your guesses).

Buyer approached through a broker on my landing page with an initial offer of $2,000. Took almost 3 weeks in negotiations (basically rejecting all his offers) and 10 days for payment after he agreed to my initial offer.

Why it disappears from Namebio?

Good question, something's fishy... Fake sale and/or a publicity stunt. It was there now it's not. :spam:

Could have done better.

It's been bought by Sachin Bansal (ex Flipkart ceo). He bought NaviBank.com for $50k recently.

Since, Navi.com already in use might be using yours for his new Fintech venture.

15k is still insanely amazing for a CO. No matter who is the buyer imo

It is.

But I consider buyer's profile and actual position of the domain for his company.

FYI, the buyer in this case sold his stake to Walmart for $1 Billion Dollar.

I would have asked for $100k for this domain.

Easy to see in retrospect. Very difficult to risk when you do not know who is your buyer.

True indeed if didn't know about NaviBank.com sale happened few months back.

But, should have checked other TLDs, at least dot in since you are from India.

Also, if a buyer comes back after several rejections as you mentioned that my bro is definitely a telltale signs.

As a domainer I always want to maximize my return, but $15k is a good price. 👍

I knew about navibank sale. But when your domain is not dotcom you are really not in the commanding seat. you piss off the buyer, and buyer will work out another alternate (navi+keyword.com)

I would have listed the same domain for a much lower BIN had I not been approached by a broker.

I had to fixate on a price I would not regret, and I did. 15K it was.
