@vravis9 do you still have those 2 names you reggae'd without any [problems?

@Jv1999 Yes !!

Like i said I will update if any cancellations and refunds happen...

Not to make some theory but to be helpful for others...

Wanted post this for long time...

FYI I am not saying and didn't said names are being cancelled because of certain reason...
I only said I am not using certain methods...

What others do I don't care...I don't judge...

And I am damn sure that NetSol is aware of these registrations...it's not a loop hole...it's offer given by NetSol itself...

And of course they will be very much aware of transferring of names...they are not someone who is taking baby steps in this business...they are one of oldest registrars..

They definitely have their calculations and expectations...and will act accordingly.

We got offer to get names for $1/domain @ 5names/account...that is the OFFER!
(Which now changed to $1/name @ 2names/account)

Anything from 6th to XXXX names we registered are can be called as privilege...or lucky opportunity...

How use it...how much you earn from it... depends on your talent and luck.

This is not our right...so we can't question if they are cancelled...

We all know that NetSol has bad reputation and even though we went forward to register hundreds of names...when something happens again we will tend to remind about bad reputation...that's human nature.

I think anything registered after 5 names has attached package of loosing the name and getting refunds..

I am not saying anything but there is a possibility of that from starting onwards...

All are just theories because NetSol didn't gave any solid statement about why names are being cancelled and refunded.

I will feel bad and worried if my names are cancelled...and I am not saying that won't happen to me because I am using only account... I am saying that can happen to me also because I registered more than 5 names... ;)

PS: you can replace the "privilege" with "abuse" that changes whole theory...and it looks different from each others perspective.

Good luck...

Thanks,
Ravi

Thanks, man.

I suppose NetSol still works then.

I suppose it is our methods and maybe it is true that mass reggae played a role.

But also, yes, as you said, it's mostly luck.

I hope netsol keeps working for you. i'm out then i guess ):.

You don't have to be a genius to figure out that it was the immediate transferring out requests for the domains that got you all in this situation. It's logical to assume that the registrar knowingly let you all get hundreds of domains, but as I have already mentioned it didn't count on you trying to transfer them out immediately afterwards. There is something called Fair Play, and taking advantage of all these cheap domains and then wanting to move them somewhere else immediately afterwards just doesn’t sound fair, because now another Registrar is going to benefit from your domain sales to end users instead of the one that gave you the opportunity of a lifetime to get so many domains and also which took a substantial loss on providing these huge discounts in the process. This is not a theory, it's just using common sense, even a dog knows to be grateful when it's given a morsel of food. IMO

Lets consider this scenario, you register a few good domains a day (not trash) and meanwhile you sell a few to end users as time goes by, you get to make money without having to pay full price for registration and the Registrar ends up with a few new regular customers through your domain sales, a win-win situation that could have gone on forever. IMO

My names are still in account, one thing I can think of is that I've sold a lot of names within transfer lock so perhaps new customers for them? Maybe they're keeping an eye on it.

Most of the names I have sold are ones where the transfer lock is intact and now I see buyers in whois with name on netsol

I seriously doubt transferring out had anything to do with it. The promo was working pretty well for an entire year. Something had to give especially with some people buying in such large quantities.

I am still able to use the code and I have moved out quite a few.

Here is an idea:

Instead of the $1 specials the Registrar can create a program called Domain Associates where Domainers can get deep discounts on registration and in return the Registrar can benefit from the new regular customers that it gains through the domain sales made to end users by the Domainers who are part of the program. This way the Registrar can know exactly whom it's dealing with and Domainers don't have to look or feel like Pirates anymore. IMO

Hello all
How many domains do you suggest one register a day to prevent netsol problem.

And long, long ago, there was this guy named Moore, if memory serves, who laid out plans for a place called utopia... your idea would fit right in there! :xf.wink:

Having had more "opportunities" than I care for to chat with NetSol's support staff about my account that's been blocked, inaccessible for close to two weeks now, it's clear they have serious management defficiencies there. They have a major promo running for close to one year now, but nobody's bothered to train support to deal with various scenarios related to it? Someone's really not coping, way over their head, IMHO :banghead:

Support has no clue of what's going on. Or stonewalling, playing the three monkeys (but if so, WTF...?). I asked them to unsuspend my account. And BTW, why was it suspended at all? I haven't done anything different from what I'd been doing day in day out for the past 6 months... Marked as fraud. What kind of fraud? No idea. They had to escalate that to "Billing", which just unsuspended it. Only to have somebody (no idea who, sir) put a new security block on my account (no idea why, sir)...

Asked point blank about the second little problem of why some 50 of my domains were suddenly cancelled, deleted after I had paid for them and after they had been registered... no idea, sir. They had to elevate this (again!) to some other mysterious department (can't call them direct, sir, they don't take any calls), who will get back to me... can't wait!

Does this sound like a company capable of formulating and, most importantly, implementing the kind of multilateral, multi stage, win-win utopian strategy you and others have suggested here?

After the elevation and security block release by second call, I didn't question the refund & cancellation of 63 domains. The reason was implied in the email you got from that department. It was enough for me to be out.

Can't believe you actually asked for a direct answer.. But do update what answer they give you ^_^ thank uuuu

What email? I haven't received any emails, that's the problem!

Not counting the dozens of identical, nonsensical auto-generated emails entitled "Your order cannot be completed" days after domains were registered, without so much as a mention of a domain name or order# :banghead:

I haven't done anything wrong. I availed myself of a domain promo and the registrar came through, accepted my payment and registered the domains I ordered day in and day out for many months. I can't wait to hear their explanation of why, having accepted payment and delivered the product, they have suddenly yanked the last few deliveries back with no communication, explanation whatsoever.

If I attempted and was allowed to register more domains than stated in the promo terms (which I hadn't bothered to read), paid the invoices issued to me promptly and in full and the domains were duly registered by the registrar - this implies a contract, agreed to by both parties. A new promo as it were. Including the last 50 domains they deleted! The fact that numerous other people were extended the same terms only strengthens my case. It will be interesting to see NetSol explains this one in court... over a period of one year, we registered tens of thousands of domains ordered by hundreds or thousands of registrants... yes, they all paid their invoices in full, but we issued them and accepted the money in error, we were taken unfair advantage of, Judge! :xf.wink:

If you make them dig too deep they might realize they have more to yank from you.
I'm willing to roll the dice on this one, Jimbo, and see where this takes me. Sorry, but this is all I can say here, given the case may find its end in court.

im pretty sure they'll tell you that you should have bothered to read the terms cause thats what they're for ;)

i think if you take this to court, it is better you do not use this line for your main defense ;)

I'm waiting for a promised email from that mysterious department too. They called it "our offline team".

Yes you have. As we all have. The terms were "5/2 domains per account", ever, not daily.

Rather than a court case just register domains at the normal price somewhere else. You act like you were entitled to $1 domains forever— you’re not. Talk about a sense of entitlement. Dude the promo was abused and overused. You admitted you got a lot just be happy with that and move on and pay the normal reg fee price somewhere else.

Which is exactly what I have been doing since, including most of the 50 deleted domains (minus 2 registered by third parties after their release by NetSol and a dozen I've decided not to register after all). Hence, I have no cause, nor inclination, of taking anyone to court. However, as Jimbo has pointed out, this may not be the end of it...

Best advice ever. Except... as things stand (no access to my account), I haven't "got a lot" of anything! Hopefully, this will be resolved, but after 2 weeks and repeated run arounds with support, my faith in this has waned. Jimbo has a perfectly valid point... incidentally, one that applies to everybody who has availed themselves of this promo.

How long since support elevated your case to this "offline team"?

In my case, support told me (last Wednesady) to expect a call within 24 to 48 hours. No call.

P.S. Feel free to PM if you prefer to discuss this in a less public setting.
