Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

So how many of you guys are getting daily $5-10k offers on your domains similar
to the ones going thru the auctions, that is the true test. Sure there will be sales, but there is a bit of a disconnect with the bridge here. That is what some people who own decent portfolios are trying to figure out. The industry has room to grow, the slots will get filled up, always people willing to pay more, and others willing to pay less, but the good names should sell if sellers are realistic. The constant auction highs just sort of defy the logic of the wholesale marketplace to a degree. Given I had 4 second chance offers due to non payers in this space this year, I am questioning some of it.

I just dont see a connect here. This is the bridge with no current connect. Exactly whats going on. People see the bridge. Their going to JUMP the feaking thing ! F with building the middle. No I flip dollars, I really don't know what your saying, but I would implore you to go back, and read the 4L .com CHIP boards, the Crypto boards with the same rhetoric. There is no guarantees with any name, or any space, if someone thinks your name is to expensive ie) weedmagazine.com, they will go punch in weedmag.com which is also for sale. This hold on thing, we are going to the moon stuff, you got to scale it back. I have been watching the auctions for a long time, there are patterns, bidding strategies you come across, and you know something isn't right. Look at the few auctions Keith has been in the past few weeks, they keep having a deadbeat bidder. I am all for high prices, I have something significant to gain, but I am never one to sugarcoat irregular bidding patterns if I see them. The same quality sitting in portfolios, is not seeing the same offers being closed in bids at auctions, that is the connection I am trying to make. If you have nothing to pump, I suggest you enjoy the ride then.

What’s been going on with bidding at GoDaddy expired auctions is not normal. It’s a scam being run and is getting exposed now.

Prices are being artificially inflated which show big sales which don’t actually close. Apparently this happens in hot niches.

I learn by what you guys post. All of it.
Is this a problem , maybe stemming deeper then just inflated prices on hot niche domains ? could this be the Higher powered Domain investors playing low end markets. I mean this stuff is kind of transparent into the Finical market , if anyone would agree somewhat to that ? The Dance seems the same. Theres different Clubs, Gangs. Kind of make the rules or work the rules of the game in a way to only benefit for members of the Club.
And those clubs and gangs have cool Bot friends that play their game for them now. Is that this ?

I follow legislation and regulatory rollouts not the movements and NOT the opinions of domain brokers necessarily.

Classic example of this is a rule of NO three word domains. Well how wrong was every domain industry veteran on CBD. Seems three word CBD sales are solid. If anyone here could have foreseen Canna; Hemp and CBD; Leaf brands evolving every day; we would have registered ( yep by hand ) alot more than we all have on hand. Most my inventory is 4 years old. And a longer hold. Good things come too those with knowledge and patience, this industry is talent based. There's some luck in domains; but primarily about understanding forward trends.

Is their money in this?

You know Cronos was at $3 just a year ago it topped at $23 last week.

I'm in the industry, I follow this for my day job.

I don't normally like to mention name auctions before they complete, but given recent discussions and bidding issues, it's unlikely to have an impact. Just noticed Planet Cannabis hit 10k on GD expired. Will be interesting to see the closing price, and whether it completes or defaults to a lower amount.
