Although controlling the border is very very very important, what about the millions upon millions of illegal immigrants that already reside in the US .

And currently the majority of illegals are visa overstays, not border hoppers...

Glad the ACO pulling to the left isn’t happening to everyone in NYC.

She’s just a squeaky wheel. The right is giving her far more attention than she deserves, which is just prolonging her 15 minutes of fame. She’ll lose credibility if she doesn’t produce for her constituents.

One thing more, American people could learn Spanish. I did, starting at late 40’s.

Always liked languages and picked them up easily. Polyglots run in my family. Started learning Spanish in middle school (along with German) and never dropped it. Dabble in a few others. Useful if you travel too. More Americans should try it - Spanish is an easy one.

Btw your buddy Mike Pence speaks spanish. I bet Chuck and Nancy or Feinstein don’t.

Hmm I wonder? Lots of Latinos in NY. Former NY mayor Bloomberg speaks Spanish ...with a VERY strong “Noo Yawk” accent. Always did part of his public addresses in Spanish. The accent was hilarious, but good for him for trying.

He's serious about this because 1) He wants a YUUUUGE monument with his name on it 2) He probably promised the contract(s) to someone he owes money to 3) Nobody ever said "no" to him so he's pitching a tantrum.

(parenting tip for those of you with kids - its fine to give them things and teach them to win, but make sure they also lose and hear "no" sometimes.)

If he declares an emergency the courts will smack it down. Something that will take a decade or more to build isn't an "emergency" - it's like drafting plans to build a new firehouse when your house is on fire.

Ridiculous. Need to get those people back to work - their work is unrelated to the wall argument. Get the government up and running, then hash it out. The shutdown is negatively affecting immigration security because currently the immigration courts are dismissing cases due to lack of personnel.

This engineers educated opinion is not a study based on observation, it's a conclusion based on a political narrative. The articles she / you site are also opinions using words like "suggest".

1) Current walls on the border work.

2) Construction / materials can be adjusted for the terrain, environmental requirements

3) Doing nothing will make things worse.

The biggest problem liberals have is credibility. They've been lying about how many people are crossing the border, how many illegal immigrants are in jail, how many are in the country.

Democrat leadership and media had a melt down when President Trump said we would add the question of citizenship back to the census. The ONLY reason to not ask that question is to hide the real number of people living in the USA illegally.

I understand that most of the Illegals accounted for are Visa Overstays, but are they above the law???

If I get a moving violation by the police, I don’t pay my ticket, I will 100% absolutely have a warrant issued for my arrest, and the police will come to my house and work if necessary to serve it and take me to jail.

So, are we saying an American born citizen is at large for a speeding ticket, but the Illegals that do not refile and get a visa extension are above me??? And can carry on thier live with out consequences for breaking federal law.

That is my only issue with this, and if you have ever been taken to jail and had to stay an length of time, I am sure you would agree with me on this topic
