Do not link to sales listings on other websites (e.g., other marketplaces, your portfolio site), which includes content on NamePros that links to external websites.

By posting the link, asking others to visit it and buy it is considered advertising.

A warning is only issued when a member has not had previous warnings involving the rule violation. This is your 5th restriction from the chat room. Please keep in mind any time an issue is reported it must be investigated and if rules have been violated reminders/infractions/restrictions will be issued depending on the members account history.

Hello,

You posted the domain 420.net.au and another and invited people to visit and buy at both. At both of these sites, there are domains for sale which is considered external advertising. You may not have linked to either but by telling people to visit an external site (posting the domain name) to buy these domains and these sites have numerous other domains for sale this is considered external advertising.

Most links are allowed in chat but not links that are promotional or link to adult/promotional content. Here are the relevant excerpts from the chatroom rules:

• Do not post links to your own websites trying to sell services, products, or domains.

We understand. It's less explicit in this instance, but for all intents and purposes, "visit domain.com" is essentially the same as "http://domain.com" as far as the rules are concerned.

We will add this as an example to the rules to help avoid any misunderstandings in the future.

So on the weekend when supposedly (& usually is) A post your sale link festival, corey gets in trouble for posting a NON-LINK. Jeez that target on her back must be glowing BRIGHT ORANGE lately.
Also funny how the other rule about adult content is largely ignored, with language and topics that is NSFW posted by the Kiddies in chat non-stop.
The main reason I don't participate on NAMEPROS like I used to is the site has gone downhill rapidly since RJ owned it. Corey has a lot to contribute, but the idiots & scammers (especially those in chat) should be the ones banned (PERMANENTLY) not corey, someone who has been domaining since 1997.

In order of your comments:

1. That is not relevant to this discussion. The rule that was reported does not change on the weekends (It’s never allowed).

2. There is no target on her back from us. Her message was reported by fellow members. When we receive a report, we check if a rule was violated and handle it accordingly.

3. We handle all reports exactly the same. If there is NSFW content in chat, then please report it. We need specific reports to take action.

4. It’s unfortunate that you don’t participate on here as much as you used to. You’d see how much has improved if you did.

With that in mind, please don’t spread misinformation that is blatantly false. Every meaningful metric that we can measure is up significantly in recent years (More than ever before), and that includes customer satisfaction. We track and review the data carefully. I appreciate that you’re defending Corey but that is not the right way to do it.

5. Yes, she does have a lot to contribute. We value her as a member.

Please remember that it’s our job to enforce the rules equally and fairly to everyone. We treat everyone the same: from the newest members to the oldest. Not everyone will agree with that (We get a lot of requests for special treatment), but special treatment isn’t offered here. Everyone is treated equally.

After investigating your past infractions and the direct messages that followed them I found these two previous messages.

As you can see in both direct messages the topic of posting external domains and links are the issue and I explained why the posts in the chat room are an issue in both.

At this time the restriction will not be lifted due to the evidence discovered above. Please make sure to not post external sales, links, or mentions of active external sales in the chat room in the future.
