A lot of domain investors also invest in crypto currency it seems as of late. I usually feel pretty confident that a domain I carefully acquire today will be a 10x+ my investment including holding time. If say, I were to buy bitcoin today, is it feasible that i would get 10x my money?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
And yet I contacted the .Net owner with two offers... but your the genius and already knew that right?

so its like I said.. you didn't get 3 offers

As in crypto for short term stick with alts under $1 and take your profits as soon as you can.

In short, always try to balance while staying on your tiptoes, but having a higher than average height wouldn't hurt either.

Just reading this morning, @Domain Shane just sold his last bitcoin yesterday morning.

"I like many people have slowly divested crypto assets and moved them into other things. I’ve actually used most of it to purchase domain names. I sold the last bitcoin early yesterday"

hmmmm.

Thanks for sharing Shane!

You haven't....there is still opportunity with both.

Where's the bottom? Many people are predicting it's $5,900
Look at the futures -30%

What's your prediction?

Buy opportunity?
I think so, but spread it out. I'll buy at 6666, 5555, 4444, 3333, 2222 and 1111. 60% of my budget will go for 2222 if it ever gets there

I couldn't resist, picked up 1 btc just now and will get another at 6666. Where's the one NP member who was trolling people for selling on the way up? Hope he's keeping it together :xf.wink:

Do you think price will go up?
I'm very bullish on good cryptocurrencies but am patient. Whether it starts climbing again next month or next year I don't know. (noone does)

Stay away from the Madness:xf.smile: Crypto will come out in a new avatar with government sanction then it might make sense to invest..

In mainstream Domains are new revenue system, but if you compare Domains and Crypto Currency than IMO Domains are old revenue system.

Being a noob to this and the site I'm hesitant too voice my opinion. But I tend to agree with your view on domains. I view domains as the real estate of the internet (.com) is prime coastal property, which will only become more scarce and difficult to find. That will mean more competition for what's out there and what's good.

I've never been a fan of Crypto currency, it all just makes me nervous and I view it as a high risk investment. That said, high risk investments tend to have the biggest ROI but they also have a higher likelihood of a loss. So if I had the choice, I would definitely go the Domain route.
