This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

So afternic sold it at lowest price possible

well.. thats still within realm of possible I guess

but I read somewhere that all the bad brokers went to work for uniregistry, so I am not particualrly worried.

I guess after fees. I don't think brokers go down your floor price.

just to clarify for those who did not know:

the floor and bins you give to broker on afternic is all before their fees. (20%)
if he cannot reach yoru floor, he *cannot* sell without asking you first.

not sure if they have obligation to let you know buyers highest offer, if it falls below floor.. but I always make sure to tell them they do.

all in all, a 2017reg for a product-ish .org for $600 net is a no brainer to me.. I did a quick scan of namebio and only saw one in last month.. which could fit the pattern: ribs....org
for like 350$

happy new year and good sales in 2018 to all!

deodorizer..org......$750...........2017reg

afternic makeoffer.. afternic agent negotiated after.
I gave him floor 900$ and bin 2k

I think you're way too lucky with your sales. I've been keeping an eye on this thread and some of your sales have been the most surprising ones.

That or I'm still too much of a newbie to understand the "value" they hold.

I think that like anything in life, if you spend enough time learning about something.. making mistakes.. falling.. getting up... and not giving up... eventually, you start to get some results out of it.. I mean do you know anybody on this planet who in time and through learning more about something, became worse instead of better at it? no of course not. it does not work that way :)

in the end, and putting aside the so called liquid domains for a moment, all sales here (and sellers) are in same boat, cause no one here knows in advance when his domain will sell.. where.. and for how much... or if it all.

jmo
cheers

Also worth noting that domains are subjective. It could be that 95% of domainers see no value in that domain, and 5% do... but you only need 1 end user with cash who agrees with the 5% to get a sale.

I've just made what I think is my best ever purchase from Godaddy Auctions, for about $50. Not hit my account yet so I'm not getting too excited.

But now I wonder why I managed to get it so cheap and I will be posting it on the appraisal thread, I thought it would reach $250+, or even $500.

So now.... did I get a bargain? Or does the market think this isn't a good domain? Those thoughts and doubts and questions never go away.

Congratz for that nice sales!
What’s lifidongles means?
I saw on @NamePros a post about the LIFI technology - a tech similar to WIFI via LED smart bulbs only a lot faster. I registered a few LIFI domains the same day. I believe it was @Silentptnr who posted about LIFI. Dongles is the plural of
don·gle
ˈdäNGɡəl/
noun
  1. a small device able to be connected to and used with a computer, especially to allow access to wireless broadband or use of protected software.

.news is my favorite gtld. I found sev.news available for registation in Oct 17 and there is a website sevnews/net. I thought they will buy the domain, because .com not with them and the .com buyer asking $$$$. So, I added low bin, $555.

Domain Name: i/r/e/s/t/ .o/r/g
Sale type: Inbound offer through efty lander
BIN:$5000
Sold:$2500 cash and other agreement to meet BIN value.
Purchase:$125 from drop auction 7 months ago.

Started transaction 5th of last month using Payoneer escrow(Regret using them for this deal).Good thing, I was in good communication with buyer.I called and communicated with Payoneer to try to close the deal within 7 days and they dragged on into the new year.Took a month for a four-figure deal and wondering how long if it was a five-figure deal.Adjusting my settings to use escrow .com.I am short of words and saving my frustration to move on.This is a personal experience and doesn't mean other deals for others isn't smooth but learned my lesson.

Anyway, Glad I got my money from them and would have reported this 2nd week of December if it was escrow.

Wish you all more sales this New Year.

No further details.

Just sold Change / management / Certification dot com
reg. : $12.50
Final price: $950.

This is one that I picked up from Robbie's Bog. The reason I reg'd this name is that I work in the profession and understand the clients.

Outbound about 20 emails on Dec. 30th.
Got a reply asked and asked for $1497 which is reasonable for their business. Closed at $950.
