hi everyone,

i sold my first domain yesterday for $900
the domain was BitcoinsNearMe.com

it was hand regd. by me on 22-8-2017
so its a very quick sale we agreed on 28 and transaction closed yesterday so its a week almost
the domain could have been sold for more than $900 but due to some reason i needed funds so sold it quickly

I saw this domain in the appraisal section a couple of days ago, i saw some namepros members were negative about the domain saying it was worth less then reg fee (just goes to show that you should follow your instinct and research, also think outside the box) to be honest when i saw the domain i liked it but never thought it would sell for 900$ but i didn't know about BTC atms.

Also Outbound is what you did. It's when you contact potential buyers.

Inbound it's when buyers contact you. This option is the best one because the ball is in your court and you can negotiate a big price, it's the one that can bring the best ROI (return of investment).

"What do next "

That's always a big question, in my opinion you should reinvest the 900$ and buy a good liquid (quality) domain, you can go after other reg domains it's cheaper but if you buy a good liquid domain you will see that you will get a good amount of potential buyers contacting you and then you can negotiate for a good ROI.

I would edit my age, in usa a contract(sale) , with a minor (person under 18 cant be enforced ) unless it is for a necessity like food, water, etc

offering product to targeted people are the best way! at least its better than do nothing! because if we do nothing, it can take a years to get 1-2 sales! recently I also do the same thing, but not so sure, because my target are in texas area, meanwhile texas are not in a good shape! but I am sure if we have product, we give an offer to company that have correlation with their business, I am sure 1-2 will give response! unless we do random email! convertion would really really low! something like 0001% but for targeted usually convertion rate between 1-5% from 100 people, 1-2 will have interest! as long the price reasonable, sales can happen!

and I have experience selling some ebooks! at first I never thought that some people will buy an ebook, for $50! but since I use adwords, in just 48 hours, I make sales! and because of that reason, untill today I always believe if we have product that related with some industry or have demand! most of the times, we can get sales! though, we have to tell them! that we have product that we want! cause if not, they wouldn't know, and most of the time, they don't even bother to go to godaddy or Domain marketplace!

anyway, its just my 2 cents, I could be wrong

you are very right , reaching out to end users is one of the best way in the industry, some endusers would be very happy that one is willing to sell a domain to them.
