Nice! Congrats, was it on any platform? inbound? outbound?
dont laugh but i dont know what is inbound and outbound

what i know is i sent emails to a dozen of companies which dealt in bitcoins sales purchase locally through btc atms
and this is what i sent them

hello

I am the owner of the web domain name BitcoinsNearMe.com
its a high quality name just like localbitcoins.com
this can be a great domain as btc atms are being placed everywhere, so people search for ''bitcoins near me''
i am currently looking for a buyer for the domain
you can buy this domain name and redirect it to your cuurent website and i am sure that it will help to get good traffic on your site
i am currently required to have money so i am selling it for 0.3 btc
payment via btc or usd
we can use escrow.com also
my asking price is decent and realistic,
i am not like other people asking for high amounts
if interseted mail me at [email protected] for counter offer or price negotiation

regards

Congrats on the sale @candy16

I saw this domain in the appraisal section a couple of days ago, i saw some namepros members were negative about the domain saying it was worth less then reg fee (just goes to show that you should follow your instinct and research, also think outside the box) to be honest when i saw the domain i liked it but never thought it would sell for 900$ but i didn't know about BTC atms.

Also Outbound is what you did. It's when you contact potential buyers.

Inbound it's when buyers contact you. This option is the best one because the ball is in your court and you can negotiate a big price, it's the one that can bring the best ROI (return of investment).

"What do next "

That's always a big question, in my opinion you should reinvest the 900$ and buy a good liquid (quality) domain, you can go after other reg domains it's cheaper but if you buy a good liquid domain you will see that you will get a good amount of potential buyers contacting you and then you can negotiate for a good ROI.

That was a good quick flip. It just helps to confirm the saying that "one man's meat is another man's poison" that's in respect to appraisals.

offering product to targeted people are the best way! at least its better than do nothing! because if we do nothing, it can take a years to get 1-2 sales! recently I also do the same thing, but not so sure, because my target are in texas area, meanwhile texas are not in a good shape! but I am sure if we have product, we give an offer to company that have correlation with their business, I am sure 1-2 will give response! unless we do random email! convertion would really really low! something like 0001% but for targeted usually convertion rate between 1-5% from 100 people, 1-2 will have interest! as long the price reasonable, sales can happen!

and I have experience selling some ebooks! at first I never thought that some people will buy an ebook, for $50! but since I use adwords, in just 48 hours, I make sales! and because of that reason, untill today I always believe if we have product that related with some industry or have demand! most of the times, we can get sales! though, we have to tell them! that we have product that we want! cause if not, they wouldn't know, and most of the time, they don't even bother to go to godaddy or Domain marketplace!

anyway, its just my 2 cents, I could be wrong :)

Let me add my congratulations @candy16 to the many already posted!

I think you did very well what some of us don't, and that is to concentrate on finding a seller by using outbound email to promptly try to sell the domain. I also think you had confidence to seek a good price, but not an unrealistic one. That is actually pretty quick to close a sale.

Indeed you have a great future in this business, and we look forward to learning from you!

I think young domain investors have fresh ideas and are not discouraged or negative, and that is a trait we can all learn from (says a senior aged domain investor! :xf.smile:).

Reminds of the "restaurants new me" phrase...

You'll do well in this industry.. you think outside the box and you're hard working..

you are very right , reaching out to end users is one of the best way in the industry, some endusers would be very happy that one is willing to sell a domain to them.

congrats on your sale
I would edit my age, in usa a contract(sale) , with a minor (person under 18 cant be enforced ) unless it is for a necessity like food, water, etc

Well done buddy!

I remember the appraisel and just looked it up again. Amazing to see how you proved some wrong. Of course a domain appraisel is personal and not binding you hit the nail right on the head with your sale compared to the opinions. Always follow your instinct! Where did you sold it through?

I am not posting to put you down or anything near that at all. (and im saying this only to help - Because i see absolutely no one pointing things out as they are)

Firstly, Please take note that just about everything in this sale that led to the sale was 96% (More or less) Luck.
That E-Mail will 98% of the time you could make a sale result in no sale, or in a sale that is much lower then it could have been.

I strongly advise you, to stop immidiatly and think very well about your next move, especially if those $900 actually mean something to you like you say they do.
Most likely the only reason that domain sold is that you caught someone with too much money at the right time in the right mood, and i would also assume it was a numbers game.

Do yourself the favor and pull a break, and learn everything there is to learn in the forums.
Aswell as maybe ask someone to help you out with the opening E-Mail you send out to Potential buyers.

Just when you think there are no new ways to make money with domains, a young guy comes in and show us some new magic.

Congrats on your sale, you earned it!
