The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Of course I am a member, along with 191 other Brandbucket sellers.

It's really not hard to get into the 'special slack group'

Submit names. If they are accepted, list those names. Simple.

OK BB spokesman. I would love to get the list of all 191 members of your bb group and add them with krell Margot and boxador and see how many sales are left for the little guy over the last 6 months.

@JimJammy Just curious to know how many BrandBucket listed domains you have in total?
Also, your signature on NamePros says "My 1 year with BB = $49,000."
I think it would help some members that are reading this thread understand how you made $49,000 with BrandBucket.
Was it one sale or multiple sales?
If you would be so kind and share.
Thanks!
By the way, my highest total sale for 1 year was $18K

You are constantly rude to me and now you want me to help you out? I don't think that tactic works, sorry.

Try following the rules and join the slack group yourself.

We're actually a really nice bunch of people that all help and encourage each other.

If you click the "$49,000" (in blue) part of my signature, it will take you to a post that details how that figure was made up.

$18K? That's a great sale! Massive congratulations :)

I don't want to join your slack group. I don't want nothing to do with your company. All I want are people to do THIER due diligence and know what there signing up for. As a new guy your up against the company to sell your own names. So why join

Hi,
So yes, I checked out the link on your signature.
Seems that you have over 700 domains listed on BrandBucket.
But after reading your post, Not all of your "$49,000" came from sale on BrandBucket.
Nice sales though!

I guess when you buy that many LOTTO tickets you are bound to hit at some point.:cigar:

Not whining. Just letting them know what there getting into to. And letting them know there's way better options out there.

Spot on! (I'm sure you are surprised that I agree with you :)).

I've got over 1,000 names on BB now, all 5 letter .coms.

I also own 2,000+ non-BB 5 letter .com.

I sell more non-BB 5 letter .coms than I do BB 5 letter .coms.... for about 1/5-1/4 of the price :(

Bottom line. I get more money in my pocket from the 5 letter .coms I have listed on BB than those that I don't have listed on BB.

Now you can understand why I'm such a big BB supporter.

You are a brave soul!!
1000 domains @$10 bucks a pop for listing.
Renewal per year on each domain must be in the thousands.
I hope it all evens out per year for you as a domainer. Honestly, I have way less than that and it stresses me the f*%k out.
In regards of your love for 5Letter.com's, "YES" I am also picking up more 5Letter.coms than a whore picks up STD's at a whore house.
I like 5 Letter.com's.

Me too!

I wish I'd had the foresight 5 years ago to pick up 4 letter .coms at $50ish prices. $xx + $45 (5 year renewals) = $100ish. Sales price today? $x,xxx+!

So yeah, like you I'm banking on those 5 letter .coms being valuable in 5-10 years. Anything I sell now is a bonus (and pays the renewals on the others of course).

I think it's a sound strategy. Good luck to you too!

There are many marketplaces and each one has its pros and cons. I like BB and it has generated the majority of my sales since I started domaining. But I also sell names on GoDaddy, Afternic, Flippa and through inbound leads. There are many marketplaces. Pick the ones that work best for you and use them for profit. If one or two are not working then try some others.

There are many approaches and marketplaces for selling domains and BB is just one approach and its not for everyone. There is no one-size fits all. Get your leads and deals wherever you can find them :)

I've seen some domains
You may have a point in regards of "Sales Price" for those 6 domains.
But is not always true!!!
Elevated.com was rejected by BrandBucket, 1 Month later I sold it for $20,000 on Flippa.
Also some of my 4letter domains I've sold outside of BrandBucket for good money.
As a domainer, If you are buying domains just to put on Brandbucket, Good luck and Sit and wait!
Is like playing the LOTTO... Maybe you will get lucky..

They rejected elevated.com?? When was this?? Who was sleeping?? :nailbiting: Brandbucket valuation method must be a sister to estibot appraisal system.

Giving credit where it's due: DNBolt reported bb sold two of my old domains this week.

Congrats to the NamePros members who purchased the domains from me at reseller price, and congrats to bb for the sales.

These search results are not influenced by the length of time the domain has been on the site
How can you make this claim when they've said themselves one of the changes induced with their updated search was to surface older names? I'm sure if you ask them they will confirm this in the private slack group.

I'm not impressed by this,I submitted a name which BB rejected. Sold it here on NP, said name is now listed on BB by another NP member. Can I have an explanation why it was rejected and subsequently accepted?

Hi,
What's the domain name and also the member who is selling it.
Also when was the domain rejected?
I know BrandBucket gives you an option to resubmit rejected domains after several months, but just curious to know the time line that domain was resubmitted and possibly approved.

There is no time limit as such, one can immediate ask for reconsideration of a name after its rejected.

There is a time limit of 9 months before you can resubmit (unless you ask manually for a reconsideration).

Login to your back office.
Go to the Domains tab.
Click on the 'submitted' button
Click on any domain that is not accepted.

This takes you to a list of all of your domains submitted that were not accepted. The last column tells you either how long you have left until you can resubmit or provides you with a tick box to resubmit.

Not sure when it was resubmitted, saw it by chance browsing names for sale.

@iAchilles I bought it in GD Closeouts in July 2016. I wasn't aware it had been submitted in the past until I just saw your post today.

Thanks for letting me know. From my perspective as a BB customer, it's annoying to see this type of inconsistency with their selection process and it cost me money too. 2015 BB published domains were trading higher, I can't recall who I sold it to but it went very cheap. Sure, we're only talking 20-$30 difference but repeat this over 20 and 100 submissions and it adds up fast.

Anyway, I've no plans to submit any further names, that's a decision unrelated to this.

Domain evaluation is subjective and trends can change. That's why BB has a procedure for resubmitting names for a second look. Usually they are rejected a second time but once in a while they get accepted after a second look.

There is nothing perfect in domaining. Not Estibot, Mike Mann or Drew Roesner. Non-liquid, domain value is in the eye of the beholder and two domainers will rarely agree. This is doubly true with brandables.
