Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think Google nailed it when it comes to the design of the headset. Looks almost fashionably which is not easy for this kind of tech product. :-o

As I said a few months ago... The Poke'mon effect !
The one killer app that brought the needed attention of VC's to VR & AR.

Those investments we see now will lead to products we should see next year.
It's been the VC's interest that I had been watching for in this niche to 'make it happen'.
Hundreds of start-ups, if not going belly up from waiting for the funding, will get their shot.
It should give us the needed 'content/experience' next year. Otherwise, this will be viewed as a fad.
Very good news for VR domains over the coming year and beyond.

you are not giving too much responsability to pokemon?

and just curious... what might be a fad again? you lost me there a bit.. cheers.

With no strap going over the top of your head, I think that Daydream View headset looks a bit uncomfortable.

Google Daydream VR Headset Rumored to Unveil Today for $79

Google is set to unveil a number of new devices and services at today’s big event, mainly focusing on the Pixel and Pixel XL phones (which have already been widely leaked). According to a report by Variety though, Google’s new mobile VR headset platform Daydream is going to hit the spotlight as well, and at a price low enough to fit under almost any Christmas tree.

Variety’s report maintains that both Pixel and Pixel XL phones will work with the newDaydream headset—no big surprise here—but citing a source familiar with the announcement “could be sold for as little as $79.”

So far my 360BBW.com is way more popular than my DaydreamPhone.com....

What you lose on your VR-phones you gain with your Big Black Women I guess.

I was a little disappointed with the Google announcement today. They didn't really reveal anything new about Daydream other than showing the actual headset, which looks exactly the same as the teaser image they've already shown and a Harry Potter app lol. The pixel phones look amazing though. I was hoping that they'd reveal more about the actual Daydream app ecosystem, what the app market will look like. But no luck. They didn't even mention what they're doing with chrome.

I will be buying a Pixel for sure (since Apple decided to go VR-less), but I'm not sure about the face pants. Might wait for something better.

What do You think about vrcooker .com ?
Like a rice cooker? I think you should invest in a better name. If you are entering the game now you are very late. You can still buy good quality names for ok prices though, but hand regging is difficult.

Perhaps try to buy: VRcook, VRchef, VRcooking or something?

Good luck!

Daydream VR & Pixel...
I don't see these running out the door outside of the fact it is cheap(er).
Resulting from one question... What is special about the 'phone' that would make you want it?
What this has going for it is something easily matched by any smartphone manufacturer..
A properly focused lens set for 'one model phone' that has a hi-res display.(little/no screen door)
A remote controller (as I have said before, badly needed for mobile)
A library of things to do (goggle may have a wrap on that for a little while anyway)

I was not terribly impressed. But we may have a few un-revealed things to learn about what is in their packaging in the coming month.
Any addition is still good for VR & domains.
But I still think we are headed for a full 2 screen HMD display that plugs-in to the phone next year.
Then you can obtain a wide FOV and proper optics, reduce weight and heat on the head and is more easily upgraded and more universal.
But till that comes, it looks like the Samsung S8 /GearVR will rain as king next year.

I don't get it.

I've picked up a number of VR domains via drop catchers past few months. Yesterday I got CatholicVR.com from snapnames backorder.

Now. here's what I don't get; a lot of domainers simply let their names expire without even ever posting them for sale on the forum. I just see that as an avenue that is being overlooked at the moment. Why take a full lost when you can come out with a little profit for renewals etc. just saying. One man's junk is another man's treasure in domaining.

I only started to pick a few vr names from expireddomains this year.. just regfee no dropcatch.. so I am not sure what people here were dropping in 2015.. maybe more.. maybe less than this year.. I think @TradeMeDomains.com said he was seeing some nice gems expiring in 2015..

well since about 1 month I am noticing less nice drops.. near nothing really good.. still managed a few decent ones at regfee this year though.. maybe ~20 total.. smoothvr, virtualrealitybank, vr9000 and few more...

u gotta remember that as time goes on and VR gets more popular and mainstream, more and more domainers take notice of VR domains too.. so while its too late to just go out and find good stuff to reg now, whatever is dropping etc may have more competition and bids from domainers too... in short, VR domains should be gaining value and popularity among domainer investors too with time.. not only become an enduser interest from countless startups.. prodcuts.. services.. games.. ventures.. or general enduser website projects of unlimited topics or subjects.

in either of above cases, increase of enduser desirability or domain investor desirability, the end result will be same and beneficial for those alreadyu investing in some VR domains.. ie: an increase in value. which is why I mentioned before that there shoudl be roi potential for VR domainers selling to each other ...or more specifically to newly arriving VR domain investors... though of course the biggest roi will always remain among endusers.

cheers

I tried doing that. If I were to post TexasHoldemVR for sale for $99 here I would get 0 buyers. Too many people have that dream of hand regging a domain that will land them the big reward (including myself) and they are not willing to invest. They are buying lottery tickets, not investing.

MakkahVR.com ( I forgot I had this.)

MAKKAH is one of thee most beautiful and inaccessible places on Earth unless you are Muslim. Non-Muslims are NOT allowed to "set foot" in Mecca/Makkah. It might as well be the inside of a volcano for Non muslims.

Actually anyone who dares to enter Makkah who is not Muslim will be beaten to death ( I think?) so same effect as walking into a volcano. Result Death.

VR would eliminate the need for non Muslim people to "step foot" in Makkah.

Giving people thee opportunity of viewing this beautiful place and having it showcased to the world of Non-Muslims. perhaps even convert some Non Muslims.

FYI. I'm not here to promote the conversion of non Muslims to this religion. I am Catholic myself. but

as a marketing tool? VR is definitely perfect for this. as well as a Travel promo tool for actual Muslims who plan to go to Makkah or can't physically go or afford to go to see the one place that their religion tells them they must save money to visit once in their life.

there are 1.9 billion Muslims world wide. more than China Pop.

what do you think NP?

Yeah I caught a few good VR domains last year and also purchased VRLL & LLVR at excellent value when most domainers were focused on the CHIPS. I can remember with one of my VRLL purchased at $350 when they up sold me thinking they had a great deal. We were both happy with the sale and purchase at the time. I also purchased a few good ones from you taking a punt of future ROI :) Thanks Alcy.

@BostonDomainer I purposely let a few Virtuality(com) & VR+keyword (.site) domains drop to see if they get picked up on the drops or get additional bids? I kept the best Virtuality(.com) & VR(.site) + keywords as this will give me an indication if this niche has any future potential? I purchased them @ $1.99 each which was the last time GD was giving discounts. It might not be the VR (.com) type of domains you are mentioning? I wanted to indicate why I dropped a few to test the market demand?:)

I'm holding onto most of my VR & Virtual domains for a few years before selling them :)

IMO there is still great opportunities finding great value VR (.com) domains in the aftermarket.
