Here we go!

The .RS extension stands for Serbia, Europe.

It is mostly being used for domain hacks (answe.rs being the highest sale at $20k from what I remember) but it also means life in chinese.

The lowest registration fee I found is at Plus.rs (no english site but works well with google translate) and it costs 1920 Dinar which is about $17 per registration. But there are other local sites (in English) which cost just above $20.

There are still a lot of available short domains, numbers and letters and from what I understood there is no restriction whatsoever for registering or transferring a domain (no wait time to tranfer, can be same day as regged).

It does say when in the cart .. each domain average around $3 .. if I take 11 domain .. it charge up to $33 for PDV @ 20%

yes so did I. there was a 30% discount which tey didn't have to give, so I guess it makes up for it. but that does not change fact that it probably violates international laws to charge vat to everyone all over the planet.

Probably just domestic laws and, in general, is against the very definition of VAT. Normally, Value-added WITHIN the country is taxed. That is why most countries have VAT refund system for foreigners, travelers etc. when they still are charged during their stay there or conducting business there.

Everyone should pay attention to the VAT fees, I noticed some of you got charged without knowing it. So on your next renewal still have VAT charge with the regular renewal fees as well if there is no discount code. As I know each domain VAT fees without discount code is about $4 usd.

I am not so worried about VAT, especially with the 30% off coupon it is a good deal for .RS compared to other registrars I've looked at, many charging close to $100 for a .RS.

The LL are probably a good investment and always seem to have interest.

Yes, VAT is often paid in advance, but there is also normally process for vat refunds based on your tax filing and supporting docs.
