@muttus -

To answer your question - No (not from what I have observed and agree with @wwwulff )

From what I have observed...

Over the past 4 months the process has been linear and consistently has been a revolving 45-50 day cycle from the Submit date.

The Review Cycle appears to be date driven based on Submit date.

Review Cycle (Accept/Decline) ~ 40 days, followed by Seller write-up, followed by their Writer's Polishing, followed by Logo Design ~ 10 to 15 days, followed by Final Review and Publish to the site.

So every time I see my Logo Queue "cleaned-up", I get ready for another Review Cycle email, and sure enough... it shows up within 5-7 days later.

I hope the overview is helpful...

-Jim

This has been my observation as well............

Well I guess I have a couple more week to wait. But kudos to them for communicating promptly. I wrote to ask how much longer it would be, not really expecting an answer. But I got an email the next day. The only thing I think they could do better is to change the language so that it reflects a more accurate review time. This would help them in managing the expectations of their customers. I think it currently still says that it takes 2 to 3 weeks to review submitted domains.

It seems now that they are doing a review sweep of 9-10 days worth of submissions at a time. So I would guess the next sweep would go from March 10th to March 19th/20th. Then there may be a wait for a few weeks, and then another review of the 9-10 days. This may be totally wrong, but it is what I have observed from the last few cycles.

@brandpluck -

I agree.

I too have observed a 9-10 day sweep at a time during their Review Cycle.

Given their last cycle was April 15th and that a Review Cycle normally follows a logo push, I am guessing their next Review Cycle will be @ Tuesday, April 28th for the Submit dates of March 10-20 (the same expectation as you mentioned). I still have a dozen or more names in the Logo Queue, so anticipate they'll get completed by this weekend and we'll see a Review Cycle shortly thereafter (at least that's the pattern I've observed that a Review Cycle follows a Logo Push).

Good luck on the next cycle...

-Jim

ps: To the comment about their support - yes, Julia (sp) has always been prompt and professional with her responses.

+1. Also noticing a step up in pricing. The last 5 of my names accepted had a combined suggested list total of $18.5k.

While any price increase may be based on the general market, it's worth bearing in mind that this could also be business-driven. They know their own sales level, and maybe the lower pricing over past 6 months didn't result in the increased volume/turnover they expected.

Regardless higher pricing is certainly good for the sell side.

The oldest submission I have in the queue is March 13. Prior to that names submitted on March 3 were reviewed, so cut off is likely somewhere in between.

Very good point, just because BB is trying new pricing model does not automatically mean that they will succed in selling those names. Having higher price could actually lead to loss of revenue for some sellers since the price will deter potential buyer. Lets hope the price increase in mostly market driven :)

They have increased prices, because customers almost always purchase name with buy now button. Not with inquire. So it is right move to increase prices. And they will not lose any customers. As they didn't doubled prices, they just increased them by 10-30%. End user won't even notice.

Does anyone have any experience listing 4Ls on BB? I'm wondering if they tend to sell any faster than other names.

Hi Bradbucket experts,

Is it just me seeing this? I am watching branbucket closely and it seems to me that in past couple of weeks new items listed there are appraised for much higher then before. Of course some names are obviously good but others .... well I do not see it. What is the opinion on prices recently submitted domains?

BTW: When did you submit is the most current domain which already went through review?

I too have been watching BB very closely. Out of the last 560 approved and listed, 300+ belong to Michael Krell.

Prices have gone up. Queue is now taking 6 weeks+ to be reviewed.

Look at the sales listed in this thread over the last few months... this is a one man show.

Says it all really.

Great input - might explain the price increase. I do expect he might have something to say in the pricing of his domains.

I have one, The profit I will get is more less what I would get from very motivated reseller. Did not sell yet, while other name did. But with short time and limited data it does not mean much.

Michael seems to have a great eye for the 2-word names that sell well, and I'm sure he's spending a lot of time and resources growing his portfolio so quickly. Kudos to him, but I'm sure that BB also worry about having any one supplier providing so much inventory. That said I'm sure they are also happier dealing with bigger suppliers - less friction. Until of course those sellers decide to plough their own furrow...

I just wanted to say that if I was the only the person selling names on BB, it wouldn't be much of a marketplace :). I'm getting a good number of sales, but nothing close to enough to justify their development, marketing, and human resource expenditures for a couple of sellers. The vast of majority of people don't post their sales (I rarely did until I became a BB Ambassador).

Like Brandworthy said, I am aggressively increasing my portfolio, and so my BB portfolio is increasing.

I haven't really noticed the prices going up much overall. I have been fortunate to be able to purchase a larger amount of better names, and the majority of those were first up in my queue.

Why does it take so long to get a name listed? The internet has made these kind of wait times obsolete. Seriously.

For anyone interested, do a site: search on Google under the /profile/ folder:

google.com/search?q=site:www.brandbucket.com/profile/

That will let you go through the various profiles. While @michaeljkrell might be the biggest, there are a decent number of users with 200-500 names listed. Michael only represents ~12% of the total inventory and the next biggest portfolio I found was ~4%. So it's still very diverse in terms of sellers.

I saw those on MediaPlow... Nice domains... :)

I went through more profiles in March and Febraury. Most of the profiles increased by very less in %.

But Michael's profile increased 35% in last 2 months.

Congrats Michael.

Boxador / Brandbucket has listed more domains than @michaeljkrell . Boxador has nearly 2000 domains (Exactly 1972).

Boxador + Michael J Krell = 1972 +1350 = 3332 domains

Total listed domains = 10528 domains

Boxador + Micheal J Krell Share in total inventory = 31.55%

I think most members didn't post their sales. @michaeljkrell also stopped posting reported sales. his last reported sale was on Mar 27, 2015.

It is good to focus on things you excel in, whether you have 10 names on 1000 it is till about the name quality in the end. Obviously you are better in brand able market them most of us. But I am in the chase :) Already 5 accepted likely 1 sold (still did not get any massage since initial email, it is already 10 days???), but having 80 in the queue right now :)

Thanks for posting your sales for motivation purposes - also if you have some stats we would like to hear ;)

That doesn't sound too good. Have you pinged BB to ask what's happening? It could be that the buyer has gone to ground, so they don't know where to transfer it, but it could also be payment issues. Regardless, I've never had a 10 day wait after a sale was notified - most was 3 days I think.

Worth reaching out to BB to clarify.

My Step-By-Step with timeframe !
Day 1: Submit 51 domains.
Day xx: Waiting for approval.
I gave BrandBucket a try 4 weeks ago. Submitted 51 domains .. at least 30 of them which I consider "very brandable" and the rest maybe not as good but still brandable. I am still waiting for approval.
I'll keep this post up-to-date to share my experience and current time delays in the process.
I can't wait to know if I am in the range of what they are looking for or completely out of the park.

On that note I'm happy to mention the 2 sales I've had so far in March:

R E T A I L G E N I U S
Q U O T E C L O U D

I feel a wee bit small compared to Mr. Krell above, but then again he has 6.5x the names listed as I do, so it's probably around right based on a 5-6% average turnover.

Michael joined BB in June 2013. At that time he already had a large stable of names which he had been collecting for a year or two and selling (with limited success) on his own. Three months later, in Sept 2013, Margot said in an interview: "Regarding my earlier point about reaching a limit of unique made-up or "coined" names, a solid keyword pair with good linguistic structure and applicability to many possible types of business is what we'd like to see more of in the submissions." I think a lot of domainers didn't hear/read that and didn't make the switch as quickly as Michael did. He had a backlog of several hundred two-word centric names and was perfectly positioned to fill that inventory vacuum. He also has a real talent for picking names that buyers like. He thinks outside the box and often gets it right. He knows the tech startup market and as a result he's very successful. It's hard to knock him for that.

Now of course I am worried that my measly 50 listings will never see the light of day in the midst of a 10,000 name inventory dominated by Boxador (Margot) and Michael. But that situation is nobody's fault but my own. I'm the one that came late to the party. :-/

Wishing success to all the BB domainers! Cheers!:xf.smile:
