I have listed my first 2 domain with Namerific and it would be great to share your experience with Namerific.

My experience so far is good. I submitted 4 names and 2 accepted within 48 hours. Logo design was done with 24 hours after verification of the domain names.

Now I need to wait and see if the domain get sold.

Just share your experience with Namerific..

Hey guys just to update everyone, we have moved the site to a much faster dedicated server. Our previous dedicated server was already pretty solid, but this one is even better. You guys may have seen the site down a few times periodically the past week or so while we moved over but it should be 100% now. From this point forward we will have less downtime and the site will be much more quicker & more responsive.

As for logos, we are still completing at least 50+ per week with our internal designer. We get hundreds of domain submissions per day so there is a little backlog, but they are getting done, rest assured.

Are any of you going to be at NamesCon in Vegas this coming January?

Hi,

I've tried a few times today and the site won't load.

IMO the reason you guys have dropped out of the 100K mark on Alexa while BrandBucket is still at 30K is your site load time sucks!

It is very slow to load. Most people just leave if the site doesn't load properly. Contrast that with BrandBucket which has a much faster load time.

Site is down again... It's completely unprofessional!

Get Knownhost as your hosting.. There you won't even need a dedicated server.. Just get one of their high end VPS servers and you are good to go.. Having so much downtime is just a joke and I would kick the hosting to the curb that has it..

I paid $5 for hosting and I'm not having that many problems. I dont have as much traffic, but still, not as many problems as this sounds if its the hosting

For those who complain about having domain names rejected, I have had 479 names rejected by Namerific; yes, 479. And I have had 16 names published with 17 pending. I do not register a name unless they first accept it. Of course, there's always the risk that someone will beat you to it, but I have only had that happen once so far.

So it's partly because of you that it takes as long as it takes to get your name approved/declined. That's just great.

lol and to see he's following a procedure Namerific has said is not a proper method for listing domains

Listen to the Domain Sherpa show on Namerific and this will make more sense.

it makes sense now, but if you read back in this very thread, you will see it stated as not a good / welcomed practice...in other words, they do not allow that anymore

They receive one to two hundred submissions daily or up to 6,000 per month or 12,000 per year! Do you really think all of those names are previously registered? With those large numbers, my paltry submissions hardly registered over several months-just a drop in the bucket. In the interview on Domain Sherpa, Mike states that he and his brother go through the lists and filter out the bad names easily, so the idea that they are so swamped and cannot respond quickly does not hold up. My first names went live in November so no action yet. After all my rejections, I did research on what kind of names they like. There is definitely a method to the madness. You should know what beginning letters are popular and what suffixes are popular. Just look at their listings for trends.

72,000 per year? or 12,000?

because 6000 a month is like, only 2 months of the year you are accounting for

even at 100 daily that's 36,500

You're numbers are off, not sure what you're trying to say other than you account for over 1% of the time spent of domains not approved :P

Have you made any sells with them?

Submitting unregistered domains is somehow immoral. How can you sell smth you don't own? What will happen with Namerific if every domainer will submit thousands of unregistered domains and register later only the accepted ones? Namerific will crash, will drown in those millions of domains...

And the actual situation will affect Namerific, because people with respect and honor don't like such behavior.

We've completed the move to a new server and the site has been stable now since the move has been complete, we are still working out some kinks but the downtime issues should be gone. We are keeping a close eye on it.

After several interviews this year @ domain sherpa and others, our listing submissions have increased drastically. Regardless, we approve/deny submissions as quickly as we can. If anyone needs faster approvals, simply message me directly.

No domain will go live unless we are able to verify it, so if we approve an unregistered name, before it can go live the seller will have to forward that domain to the sales page for verification.

The discussion was about submitting unregistered domains... Because of them, Namerific needs more time for checking registered and live domains... Some people take the risk, register a domain, submit it and wait, while others submit hundreds of unregistered domains and that domain is lost...

Mike, I just wanted to take a minute to compliment you on your professionalism. It is not easy to respond to all critiques with a cool and level head, and not everyone will be satisfied, but you have been doing a great job. Thank you for consistently answering the members questions and feedback in this thread, and for keeping us updated on Namerific's progress. I'm sure the "growing pains" will subside, but in the meantime keep charging on! I'll see you at NamesCon.

Currently you can take the other risk and submit an unregistered name, its up to you. Regardless, we give every submission a fair shot at being listed. I will take into consideration your frustration though, and perhaps we can build in a tool that allows us to sort submissions that are already registered against those that are not.

Hi,

I forwarded my three approved domains yesterday morning (FYI my username on namerific is 'mandarin' ) but am still getting the domain unavailable message and Pending Verification status in my account - I thought verification was very quick, my urls are all forwarded as instructed.

hope you can please look into this.. thanks!

Domain Unavailable - Please check back soon.
