Does anyone know why there is a "NameJet Reserve" ??
This isn't the first domain I see with a NJ Reserve, can't find anything in the FAQ.

Namejet Reserve is a reserve set by the private seller. It's not an expired domain. In this case, the domain didn't meet the reserve price.

notwithstanding not being formally acknowledge by NameJet in their site, FAQs or contract agreements, they auction domains from private owners and not only expired ones. this is why you see a "Namejet Reserve" bidder.

i guess people on the US are distracted since NameJet is a moving target waiting for a court action to be placed on them because of breaching contract rules...

Haha.

This suggests that it's up to the potential bidder to check Whois to check the status of the name. Is it expiring? Pending deletion? If not, then it's a private sale.

If the name is cloaked under "privacy" or has a suspicious registrant, then it might be time to run like the wind (and don't look back).

now sold on GoDaddy auctions for a hefty prices.

finally, bbs.org wish sold for $3,000 in an expired auction but the owner seemed to have recover the domain (I know he wasn't interested in selling cheap so it was strange to see it expired). However, the domain is now listed in the name of the winning bidder. Not sure if the auction got through or the winning bidder bought it after.
