Anyone else registering 3D domains?

It seems that 3D is going to be the the next must have technology, according to the big brands, they are all launching 3D TVs.

I attempted to find good 3D names but the best domains are already taken, I think in 5 years time or even less, those generic 3D domains will be worth a lot. :imho:

Anyone else registering 3d domains? Do you think they have a future?

Hey Like I said I don't see it either but my girlfriend does. I see plastic surgery 3D for sure its already happening I don't see shoes to try on at all But boots and shoes in 3D display would be cool just to see the 3D look of all different styles

i think certain products may benefit from 3d displays , i am looking forwards to the day when walking down the street and seeing 3d displays in shopfronts ......cool

I really think you have some potentially great ones there.

Hairdo is shorter than my 3D hairstyle.
If you search these silly sites I was referring to,
every one of them charges a fee, and how crazy is that, these girls are paying for it...lol
I think we paid $15.00 each for 2 sites for both my gf, and daughter... so a total of $60.00
and believe me we searched for them and couldn't find any good free sites that weren't pay to play, lol.

That's the only subscription fee, they have ever really wanted to pay for any site at all....ever.

His first 3D.com , I think that's going t be the choice in most websites but sometimes it's better the other way around you can't say mobilenetwork3d it's better as 3dmobilenetwork or espn3d is better than 3despn

Yeah I have registered just a couple 3d name because they have a somewhat personal meaning to me. But I am not sure why so many people are registering names like 3disthebestindaworld.com because they make no sense at all and most aren't even related to the technology itself. Only names like 3dMovies.com will sell and even then its not going to be the millions certain people are expecting. I am trying to sell one now because I am starting to realize it was a mistake regging.

as for my existing 3dnames... i have pretty much only regged 'keyword' 3d's... i have barely touched the creative market of 3d domain names but i'm a creative by nature so it could be fun.... figured i had some time to wait for those but it seems that moment has finally come with so many names bing scooped

.. so just bought my first 'CREATIVE' 3d domain name (that's kind of an oxymoron) and the more i think about it .. this could be a HUGE winner, depending on the marketing of it

as far as 3d goes - it is THE top dog in all 3d searches...
...but it will not look like it... or sound like it

This name will be a loser in ANY estmation bot.... it is COMPLETELY dependent on marketing... but with the right touch, a little bit of love and a few breaks....HUGE SUCCESS awaits the person with the same vision.

So, what consitiutes a good 3d domain?

My thoughts on this are pretty clear. They have to be product related and ones that accomodate 3d.

For instance, televisions, laptops, cameras, mobile phones and games. If you can get hold of some gems in these products you can earn good money.

A bad domain name would be 3dmatches, 3disherenow, 3dfreetheiranianbombers etc etc etc

There is some speculation domains that could do well such as 3dhairdos.com But these would require a lot of work to develop and may be slow to yeald any working pay. Whereas the staple diet of product domains that work well with 3d will always be desirable.

You are right the register has to make total sense and you have to see the website in your head
You also have to consider is there ways around the name and do you have the quintessential name in that category. We really fight each other when an idea comes. Sure we made mistakes but I would not just give up because you read the bashers here, They are trying to bring ya down so they can buy it low.

We have about 112 names right now 12 with 3d first 100 with the 3d.com sig
The mistake made was to register 3deggs it should have been eggs3d

If you want to know how many 3D domains there are in my portfolio it's zero. If I must own 3D domains I would rather buy solid ones like 3D.com or 3Dmovies.com etc on the aftermarket, rather than wasting money on a trashload of regfee names.
