Chinese escrow provider DN.com regularly posts pieces of information on NamePros regarding domain investments, but today they have surpassed themselves by producing a superb piece with advice from eight of China's most prominent domain investors. It's a must-read.

The discussion also reveals how one investor has acquired Game.com from Hasbro and recently received an offer in excess of $15,000,000.

Why I Love Domaining

The domain industry is fairly small, with the majority of investors partaking in domaining during their spare time. To spend so much of your free time on one endeavor, you need to love what you do. This discussion outlines the various reasons domain investors have for loving domain name investing.

The Reasons Behind .IN's Massive Growth

In recent months, the .IN domain extension has grown with three-number and three-letter .IN domain names being bought out by foreign investors. In this discussion, one community member explains why .IN is growing rapidly.

The growth has little to do with the influence of China's investors and more to do with the advances in technology and huge amounts of funding available for startups. Will you be investing in any .IN domains?

Have You Sold a Domain Name?

The domain name community is full of buyers at the moment. Forums, marketplaces, and even social media groups are packed with buyers looking for the best deals on domain names. With that in mind, it begs the question: have you actually sold a domain name yet?

The responses to this discussion show a surprising amount of people who have never sold a domain name.

Five-Letter .COM Predictions

According to recent reports, there are now less than 14% of all Chinese premium five-letter .COM domains available for registration. With a buyout seemingly imminent, some are predicting how high five-letter .COMs can climb.

As with all types of Chinese premium domains, patterns seem to be deemed as the most valuable along with domains that start with city codes, such as BJ or SH. NameBio has recorded plenty of sales recently that could back up this claim.

I was wondering what was going on with lll.in. Getting lots of hits. Also still getting major hits on the 6n.com repeaters and lll.cc. Holding, holding, holding. :)
