How do you go about making $10,000 per month from domain names? That question forms the basis for one of the most popular discussions of this week, one that also provides some helpful insights from investors who have achieved that level. Elsewhere, a poll asks how you made your biggest sale, and an investor asks for advice during an unusual scenario.

Poll: How Did You Make Your Biggest Sale?

Every domain investor will have some kind of story to tell about their biggest sale. Whether it's a tale of flipping a name for 10X inside a couple of days, or a @Rick Schwartz esque story of waiting for the right inbound inquiry.

In this week's featured poll, an investor asks for your story behind your biggest sale. Did you achieve it via outbound sales, inbound or was it through an auction?

A Client Passed Away After I Sold Them a Domain

In a rare scenario, this investor sold a domain name to a doctor, who subsequently asked the domainer to hold the name until the doctor was ready to start their business on the domain. After no contact for some time, the domainer found out that the doctor had passed away.

The doctor had no family, children, or living relatives to pass the domain name on to. This means that the investor still has the name that the doctor bought. Is there anything that can be done in this situation?

I'm Looking to Change Registrars

If you wanted to change registrars, which registrar would you switch to and why? An investor has asked the community for suggestions for registrars to move their names to. Different domainers recommend different registrars based on a number of varying factors such as pricing, ease of use and customer service.

Which registrar would you recommend?

The dream for many investors is to make enough money from domaining to be able to sustain their lifestyle and invest in names full time. A figure that has been quoted as a goal in this discussion is $10,000 per month. How exactly do you make $10,000 per month as a domainer?

Are you an investor that makes at least $10,000 per month on a regular basis? What would be your advice for a domainer looking to reach that level?

I Sold Cambridge.TV

Members of the .TV community on NamePros regularly post their latest domain sales, and this week was no different. Here, an investor shared the news that they sold the name Cambridge.tv for $3,600. Whilst it's not the biggest .TV sale, it is nonetheless a good return for an investor that has held the name for several years.

Congratulations on the sale!
