Yes, and I suspect if we had the top tier sales from the brandable places there might well be more in this category. While single words dominate the top 100, there was actually more variety than I had expected to see, including made-up, alphanumeric, numeric and double word names.

Great job Bob! I was wondering if you are expecting any really big money sales-- over a million given the current environment this year? I'd be interested to know.
    Thanks again!

    Thanks again Bob.
I suspect the .com.au (Australian) country names are up due to the recent rise in the Aussie dollar against the greenback... plus we were/are in various stages of weeks-long lockdowns meaning we have time on our hands to start a business. Interestingly, Australians also need a business name and tax-file number to register a .com.au, so it's not a case of Aussies registering lots of random domains. These are mostly single purchases for business.

I have no inside information, but almost every year the top NameBio reported sale is between $2.5 million and $10 million (except when voice sells!). While many businesses are stressed and economic uncertainty abounds, that is not universal, and I expect that we will see a top sale in the millions by the end of the year. As already noted above, apparently have already happened this year but without sales reported to NameBio.

I will go out on a limb and predict that we will see a 7-figure sale of a domain name related to health prior to the end of the year. So what do others predict? What sector might the first 7-figure NameBio reported sale in 2020 be in?

I think there are some big private sales happening at the moment because corporations and private investors are realising the value of online sales in a covid world.

Bob do you have any information on the fashion.com sale in November 2019, or when/if that information may be available?

    Thanks

Sorry, but I don't know anything more than what they put on the lander - i.e. that it is sold and the auction was cancelled, but neither the buyer nor the price would be disclosed.

Bob and Craig: Very interesting that you would get into the sale of fashion.com. We'll see how the rest of the year winds down. BTW-- If anyone is interested FashionHotline.com, which I own is for sale. I'm interested in offers. Have a great day!
