This thread is meant to compare average revenues from your average parked domain using a yahoo feed / google feed with that of a mini site displaying YPN or Adsense.

I've worked in sponsored search and contextual advertising for 9 years but still have a lot to learn about domain parking.

Your numbers will help fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Thanks in advance:)

Very hard to compare that.

First off, depends on the mini-site/positioning of ads. Secondly, Adsense ads display contextual ads, while parking usually has the search ads. Search ads pay more on average.

Although, Adsense users get a 79% revenue share from Google I believe. Domain parking companies usually get less than that. And even if they get more, they usually take a big cut for themselves.

This is just impossible to compare.

You can compare with some metrics like Revenue Per 1000 impressions..

Interesting note...

Search ads paying more on average. Interesting what the average amount would be. I guess it depends on the niche and keywords.

I have an exact match keyword domain name and mini site for one of the most popular keyword phrases inside the most popular financial industry.

Google Adwords shows the average cost for ads on this phrase to be $39.41 per click but my credited clicks from Adsense range from $0.50 to $1.50 with most of them over $1.00

That may be because the bigger advertisers have opted out of the content network and would rather pay a higher CPC for only the search network. Their content bids, if any, would be lower, and thats why you get paid lesser. In most cases, the lower paying advertisers for your keyword end up on the content network ie.. your domain.

Varon, I think your observation is correct ... but would you hazzard a guess towards the average price per click earned from the average parking company on a exact match keyword domain where the Google advertisers average paying $39.41 per click?

This will help my comparison - thanks in advance.

For the same keywords you might get paid higher at a top ranked Google search partner like Fabulous. Especially if any of the top ads (position 1-3) are clicked on.
