Youtube Videos On Blogs

Let's say I have a blog full of Youtube videos and these videos are copyrighted material (i.e. they're probably going to be found out about and eventually deleted off Youtube).

I don't really know how to find out if the members uploading them have the rights to do so, but in most cases they don't. How much trouble would I be in if I were to embed such videos on my blog site?

Thanks.

not sure. if it were on youtube, it'd prob get taken down plus a warning, etc.

but i see copyrighted videos on myspace all the time. no one is going to take you to court for being the dude that posted their stuff online, but they could pursue forcing you to take it off.

i'd just take the safe road and not post it. mens rea! or however you spell it lol

you will not be in trouble, as it will only take 24 to 48 hours before youtube finds that out and delete the said video and ban the user that uploaded it only your blog will be full of deleted videos.

I think youtube has a 3-strikes policy for copyrighted content. On the 3rd, the account of the uploader will be banned.

I think people do this all the time...I guess most people don't even think about the fact that they don't have the rights to just take someone elses video.
