YouTube - video & music - copyright infringement?

I recently put together a Powerpoint type of presentation and posted it on YouTube.

Check it out here : http://www.weblovideo.com

My older sister is a marketing professional, and told me that I could get in extremely big trouble for using the music/photo's on the presentation.

Does anyone know the basic copyright laws for something like this?

Please let me know.

No! They give you the share code in-order for people to do that. That is 100% legal, and if anything, Youtube would say "thank you".

No, you can't use copyrighted music legally (even though a ton of videos use music). This is especially true if you try to make a movie and put it on MetaCafe's producer rewards program, since they will be paying you for the movie.

Here's an interesting article though, in which Warner Music is going to allow YouTube users to use their music in their videos:

Yeah, the images and music are copyrighted, unless you did them yourself. Therefore you could get in trouble. Also, claiming that your site is made in conjunction with Weblo.com, unless you have express permission to partner with Weblo.com, you face serious TM violations by those claims and also your use of Weblo in your domain. So overall, you're entire project is infringing on every possible level of Copyright and TM law :)

Weblo

I do have permission from the Weblo.com staff. I am in constant contact with them, and currently work as a media-relations representative for the United States. I've even been to their offices in Montreal and they encourage the building of weblo-related sites (as long as the owners collaborate with Weblo). I own and operate WebloLogo.com and WebloVideo.com, and also own multiple other weblo-related domains which I hope to build in the near future. Weblo.com is fully aware of my activities and have given me the go-ahead to build the sites. It, really, is only for their benefit to have things like this built.

Now - on to the next part of the discussion ...

Even though I get these photo's for free from Google, it is still copyright infringement? I can understand the music being copyrighted. As a matter of fact, I agree that permission should be granted before I use the music, but the photo's too? Thats taking it a bit far, especially because I got them for free off of Google images.

Any input here?

Google images is more like an archival service, and if you click on an image, it takes you to the site the image is hosted on. So the owner of the image still retains full copyrights. Google is using it in Fair Use, because they are just offering it in an archival manner, much like they cache entire websites as do other search engines and Archive.org. If however, you use a specific image taken from another website, even Google images, you do open yourself up to legal action by the copyright holder. Most times IF/When they find out, they'll just ask you to stop using it, but there are cases of big image companies suing people over illegally using copyrighted images.
