purchases Your worst domain

I see a few threads on recent good purchases, but after speaking to a friend lately who told me that he accidently purchased maritalarts.uk, thinking it spelled "martial arts", it got me wondering what everyone's worst domains they have ever purchased. Maybe ones they'd be embarrased to admit in public.

Personally, my worst has got to be 0dig.com. This goes back to my very first few days of domaining, when I had the mistaken belief that anything with three letters and a number just simply had to be of incredible value. Oops!

I even came so very very close to registering the expired domain 'HeathyDirect.com' just over a week ago until I noticed on the registration screen it was missing an 'L'.

What are some of your biggest mistakes that you dare to admit?

I had reg some mistakes, but I was fast to cancel them and get a refund.
One of such mistake was, when I reg with suffix as Crypto (***crypro//com) but the proper version was already registered.

My biggest regret was also a typo domain, I purchased A c o u n t i f y . c o m (with only 1 C) on Godaddy auctions. Ended up paying $372, much more than I would have had I known it was a single C. I'm guessing the other bidders did not notice the typo either.

Even still, the domain was accepted as Atom premium, not a bad brandable, but hopefully I can recoup some of the investment eventually.

Ah, what made you decide to get it, is it because of the Czech footballer, or some other reason? If there's 4 TLDs taken then it sounds like it could have a bit of interest even still.

There are real sales, but most are fake, you have to dig them out to find the truth.

Yeah, such a great name, but a lot of the premium prices are a real turn off.

In fact, now that you mention it, there has been an occasion where I almost bid on a premium name at a Namecheap auction, forgetting to check the registration cost that would be added on to the bid price.

I could have very well ended up with a domain that would have been right at home in this thread.

Haha, drunk domaining is something I've yet to experience. I could imagine every name would start to sound like a brilliant idea.

Maybe I should pull the power out on my PC before I go out, otherwise god knows what I would end up with.

Hell, maybe I'd even end up with DrunkDomaining.com in my portfolio
