The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Most people do not know of Mozilla and or are not comfortable using something different. Not to mention they think IE is the only browser. It does have it's certain values like certain things being displayed in only IE and updates from the tools menu. I don't know, but I <3 Firefox.

In the big picture I see just another “my browser is better than your browser” thread.

One, which is certainly lacking in beef.

Actually, Rowan and yourself are doing exactly what you're complaining about.

There's a word for it, but I'll be polite.

And it isn't beef (though I can make a mean steak tartare). :evil grin:

I think IE got it's big market share mostly because it comes with windows. Mozilla is catching up fast though, mostly because of the better security, which i'm not all that sure is so much better now and because mozilla is the browser that comes with most linux versions.

I kind of like the maxthon browser myself, it's IE based with a lot more features.

Umm, when making thispoll, did you think of FireFox?

1. So dense to not even try to think -- denial does that (and I know who's trolling, and it isn't me :) ).

2. Because I can and will.

[This is reminding me of junior high when boys bring frogs to show the girls, then wonder why they don't have a girlfriend]

:P

But, thanks to the brave 12 folks who don't give a damn about fads and hype.

IE7 is not user-friendly.
Yes. You can ignore/hide simple HTML errors in IE whereas FF need a standard coding to look correct.

This is actually a bad thing. Because IE ignores all sorts of HTML and server errors, people end up writing sloppy code. You then end up with a bunch of junk on the web that doesn't work right in a browser that implements the standards properly. We have standards for a reason.

Exactly. That's why web developer should definitively use alternative browsers for design & testing. I like Opera but also FF and Netscape (Javascript console).
Also avoid software like frontpage which inserts a lot of proprietary and useless garbage tags...

...but it's confusing when you've used IE for years and automatically go to press ALT + TAB or click on the taskbar. ;)
ctrl+PgUp = go to next tab to the left.
ctrl+PgDn = go to next tab to the right.

Then Mozilla should sue Microsoft in Antitrust Case. HAHA...

the thing I don't like about iexplorer is that you can not uninstall it. If you try to do the windows update manually you must use ie.

I think people will use more and more of Mozilla if things go on like this...!

Even after the release of Windows Vista, I think Mozilla will be more famous!

I think that IEs popularity is because it comes with windows, which is the most widely used OS.

Because Windows OS is dominating the PC market. Hopefully, this will change soon.
