I usually don't register nGTLD domains because I don't believe in their success. But this time, I couldn't resist, and I got

email.plus
dns.plus

Whoaw! I could kiss myself!

I know, .plus is not a very fancy domain - there's already .top, .club, .gold, .whatever...

But email and dns are real top keywords! And I'm gonna use them for myself, so I don't really have to care for their value.

Are there any other lucky guys or gals around with top .plus domains? Good luck to you all!

Are my .plus domains bad?
No, they are not bad.

They're not that good that I would've taken them in .plus TLD. There are too many new TLDs out, and it's totally unclear how they will perform in the future.

casino.plus would be super, but casinos.plus is only okay. For instance.

It might still be a good investment, esp. since all TLDs are taken for these names where it makes sense, except the premium names.

But I'd rather try to fetch some super-good names in the early release phase of one of the next TLDs.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. What do you think the next best upcoming TLD's are? And when will they be released?

That's hard to tell, but I think .web, .shop and .sex will be hot candidates.

Don't know about release dates, I don't think it's already set.

Better be patient and wait for the bedt chances.

can you imagine the crowded ngtld field right now?

.sex will compete with .xxx .porn .adult .sexy etc.etc.etc.

.web will compete with .site .website .click .link etc.etc.etc.

I think it's hilarious and strange how ICANN decided to roll out so many nGTLDs at once which all sound similar.

That makes .Work and .Club unique and practical though. :p

I think the goal is to have the most words possible. It's not a kw1.ext anymore but kw1.kw2.

Porn and Sex doesn't mean the same. Property and properties doesn,t mean the same, one is singular and one is plural, same for expert. Ninja, guru, expert, pro are all not the same. They can serve for different purposes.

Yup. We (the ngtld.link crew :D) are starting to figure out the 'secret sauce,' as it were, that the secret is finding the right kw1.kw2.

I'm just saying the way ICANN rolled it out is insane.

.Ninja for me is virtually meaningless. It's more of a joke extension than anything else. .Pro is great because you're saying you're a pro. .Guru is catching on. Expert says expert a little bit longer than Guru and Pro. Yes, also different meanings between .Pro, .Guru., and .Expert. Organized in order by level of quality:
Pro > Guru > Expert > > Ninja

It was their decision not to decide anymore, but to let the market decide.

It's a pure financial decision. As long as the registry is paying for it, it can get their name. At the end, it's the free market; in a supermarket, you can buy five different sorts of sugar, but in the end, it's always sugar. Same with the new TLDs.

So it was no decision to allow so many competing TLDs with the same meaning; it's the registries that calculate with them.

For us, it means that there won't be huge sales in these new TLDs. Why should anyone pay five figures for something.xxx when she can simply wait for .yyy to come out and get her domain for much less?
