I usually don't register nGTLD domains because I don't believe in their success. But this time, I couldn't resist, and I got

dns.plus


Whoaw! I could kiss myself!

I know, .plus is not a very fancy domain - there's already .top, .club, .gold, .whatever...

But email and dns are real top keywords! And I'm gonna use them for myself, so I don't really have to care for their value.

Are there any other lucky guys or gals around with top .plus domains? Good luck to you all!

Yes, I pre-registered them through United Domains. Those were the only two domains I tried, but I've used them before with mixed results. Which is still good because I'm rather picky with my choices.

UD is not the cheapest, but absolutely fair, and they have a good quote at pre-registrations. Of course, that 101domain didn't get your domain could've also been pure coincidence, though.

Don't need to wonder: They are!

Personally, I would register such names only if I had a personal use for them. For speculative purposes, there're way too many new TLDs out there.

Not bad! It's taken in all major tlds even those where it doesn't fit that much, like.space or.xyz.

And there's a huge market because there're hundreds of thousands of independent designers in the world. Alas most of them can't spend much money on a domain.

As with all new tlds, it's impossible to estimate a value, but compared to others, it's at least one of the better ones.

Big.Plus Short, versatile, common English word and phrase... Not to mention easy to brand and logo lol. I also own Big.Network. I like the "big" keyword especially as Big Data becomes ever so pervasive.

If you don't get the game don't play the game. If you can't afford to lose what you gamble on... don't play the game. If it's too expensive for you... don't play the game. If you haven't been around lon enough to know the game... then don't play the game. If you feel .Plus is comparitively a weak extension...you guessed it... don't play the game. But investors who've chosen smart keywords are making money in new gtlds... it's too late to play the game. Cheers mate!
