Have you ever seen a name you've dropped/let expire previously be offered for sale by someone else meaning they regged it?

How about a name you sold previously for cheap go for a higher amount or vice-versa?

I was just looking at the names I regged when I first started domaining and thinking about which ones I'll let drop and then wondered if someone will pick them up someday in the future.

:)

Yep back in 2002 I sold a name (w/ a completely developed website) for $1500 and the new owner turned around and sold it for just over $20,000 6 weeks later...I still lose sleep over that one. But the person I sold it to was nice enough to send me a christmas card that year.

Ooh, that is a real bummer. If you don't mind me asking, what was the domain?
I have never really made a significant loss in this manner, but I have never really sold any domains with a highish value to account for that ;)

never look back it will drive you mad if you find out you made a mistake in the past, focus on the present and future and the $$$$, easier said than done, but it sounded good :hehe: I have sold 1 site and 2/3 domains I regret selling but that was when I first started years ago, so lesson learned I guess.
