I hate missing the one expired domain I wanted because I was busy making a list of other domains.

The domainer community is a small world. I often notice WHOIS from other NP members on domains I want. It'll be interesting to see if somebody comes forward as the owner of a privately registered missed domain.

I had a shortlist of one word WS and was mulling over T U N E - then next I checked it was gone, no whois.

A few days later, low and behold in the WS thread, it was @Nat Hunt - which made me smile, because at least it went to someone who will put it to good use AND it confirmed I have good taste : wink :

Are english .ws words really sought after? I see a some sales on NameBio, but I'm suspect to the sustainability of these. I know .ws is popular for the chinese, but why would they want english words in a Somoan domain. I know that in spite of .ly being from libya it is sought after for the domain hack, so why does .ws work without a domain hack. I see the .xyz keyword boom, but .xyz is more brandable to the west than .ws.

What am I missing here?

This may not be about hand regging, but I have been having a lot of trouble with my internet connection lately and it keeps dropping out right when I am in the middle of bidding on domains I want.

I have missed many domains lately because of this. Trying to get this fixed, but until I do, this is driving me nuts.
