    Hey nP members,

what was your fastest domain sale?
I mean the time between registering or buying a domain and the final sale of it?

Of course the 'speed of a sale' (negotiations) depends on the desired sale price - but, also apart from this fact, it's an interesting question I think - which means your answers are the real interesting part of it.

So, share your 'fastest sale' experience here!

My first sale here on namepros was my fastest so far. I handregged a .org and within 2 hours got a bid for double the money here and later it was sold. Infact the buyer had to wait for 2 days as it could not be pushed before 5 days on godaddy.

My fastest was about 3 or 4 weeks.
May not sound impressive, but consider:
    1. Passive sale, no effort on my part. Didn't list it anywhere.
    2. Huge return - 800 x initial investment.

Having a good client-base always helps - one of my clients back then contacted me and asked me the following exact question:

"You got any DMV related domains for sale?" : I hadn't at that time - but I always check any opportunities before I answer and weigh the risk - Knowing this client - knowing they do own many ccTLD domains - knowing the average they pay per domain , I found DMV.CC and registered it (back then with Moniker.com) - told him I had the exact match .cc ... $3K now for a quick transaction - the only word he said was: is that your best price? and my answer was: Yea! he didn't hesitate and paid all fees (Not sure if Moniker still offers escrow - but it used to).

It was not their first purchase nor their last -

Life time value of each of your clients is very essential for your business growth.

    All the best,
    Rami

Drop caught an aged casino .COM when someone dropped 200 casino domains that day, cost was $19.95 at the time with Pheenix, sold 2-3 days later to a site owner with a similar domain for $5k.

Fastest way to sell a domain name:
Step 0: Check if your domain violates any trademarks.
Step 1: Pricing your domain name.
    Step 2: Make your case.
Step 3: Make it easy to buy your domain.

A few minutes after registering the domain. I regged a domain hack (I think the domain I regged was fair.ly but the sale happened 4 years ago so I'm not sure about the exact domain name anymore) and got contacted a few minutes after regging it and ended up selling it for $350 USD to the owner of register.ly . It seems he didn't know the domain was available and said a friend of him was interested in it. It is a strange story because it was basically the owner of a registrar buying a domain from me, a domain that I purchased on the very same site.

Bought a name off a flippa auction for $26 bucks and sold it a few days later for $3000. Guess they were late to the bidding party :)

About more than a year ago I was registering a new TLD domain at the 7th day of EAP (means 1 day before GA).
A few minutes later I got an offer.
I didn't sold it but it gives me the feeling that it was the right decision to pay an extra fee to get it bevor GA.
If I would have been accept his offer it would have been my fastest sale ever.
