Hey, it is okay to buy a Hot Neon Pink Car with Lime green trim. Everyone will want one and offer you big money for it. Will you take my advice to heart and go buy one? Buyer beware, just take it as lesson learned and do more research on your own before acting on the comments of others.

Its brandable but to me X is kinda naughty, so if you regged XClips.com, XThumbs.com etc... it would have value. I wouldnt say any keyword with an X infront is worth money but many such names are.

Lets have a think about this, x would stand for extreme, or exchange. Now im no genius but i suspect extreme financing is not so hot right now!

The fact that credit markets are seized would tell me exchange finance would not be too hot either.

You could always send a few emails to banks, and tell them it's a great domain for a mortgate product, maybe they could offer cheap rates for 3 years or so, target them to people without credit or jobs, then repackage the product and sell it to investors!

I think this could realy take off!

I agree, you have a nice avatar, theres always a positive. :cy:

To be honest , I don't see it as a Terrible domain ... It's not my cup of tea - but maybe you should look around online to see who (if anyone) is doing X"keyword" domains.

But - as things stand right now ... People have no choice but to be more selective with their purchases.

Who said? Members here can only give you advice, and guidance. In the domaining world there are no gaurantees.
The information you get here should be only a small portion of the decision made when you buy a domain. The research remaining before making a purchase is your responsibility. Let this one go, do 100 times more research, and reading here, then proceed slowly before you buy again.

LOL. Completely agree with Tippy, it would highly depend on which generic name comes after that 'x'.

Unfortunately, you have to be very careful when considering others' opinions.

Members will exaggerate the viability of a TLD or "buyoutable" set of domains (like my favorite NNNN.org, though I'm openly unsure about it!) just because they own many of them, members will sign up with false accounts to inflate their domain's appraisal in the appraisal section, and, most commonly, people will give hilariously low appraisals for others' valuable domains, either because they want to buy thsoe domains or because they simply enjoy putting others down.

That last one hasn't happened to me because I don't own any valuable names! :(

What are you trying to do?? Sell to domainers? Wrong market. You're suppoded to be selling to end-users. That's your market and you WON'T find them here. You need to market 'Out there' to the end user that wants the name. Have you identifed that entity yet? And pitched it?

Let's define one thing first...who is "you" ?

You registered a brand new domain in Oct 08 and you want it sold yesterday? Get in line, we all want that!

Have you read ALL the guides in the domain newbies section?

Would you buy a car on the internet without test driving it first?
