On a 'yellow book' type site, can restaurants potenitally sue me for untrue/unverifed descriptions/reviews or other information that puts the said business/restauraant as undesirable?

I understand free speech and all, but I also know about slander and lible.
If I commit it, and they find out, what kind of punishment am I looking at?

Finally, how does that work on 'wiki' like sites where data is sumbitted by users and not the owner of the site.

You are best off talking to a lawyer about this. But if you are publishing works, it is your responsibility to make sure the information is accurate. I say this using the "yellow book" reference and not general posting on a MB or some other general site.

hmm...I gave you some rep. Thank you for replyiing to both of my threads. I'll see if I can get some 'free legal advice' as soon as school starts back up.
