discuss XYZ extension

Xyz always a mystery for many people
Some sell it at good price some can't

Just curious and was searching namebio randomly and saw a domain SeoBacklinks.xyz previously sold at $900
and the same keyword was sold in other extensions too and this .XYZ is available at exactly same price.... Deja Vu? Or people confused with pricing.

.xyz struggles with a bad reputation. This extention has been often used by spammers. Apparently some emails sent through an email address ending in .xyz are even sent to spam folder by most email services.

It also doesn't really mean something. If you look at some of the other "new" extentions: .site, .email, .bar, .club, .band, .art, .blog, .world, ... It's pretty obvious what those stand for.
On the contrary .xyz is just a random letter combination that does not indicate anything.
