What is XAML?

XAML (Extensible Application Markup Language, pronounced, 'ZAML') is an XML based Markup language developed by Microsoft. XAML (A serialization format) allows one to express an object model using XML.

XAML, combined with Microsoft's Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), is one of the primary pillars in WinFX; the next generation of Graphics and Internet Services Technology.

Using the XAML file format, organizations will no longer be required to support multiple languages, such as HTML, Flash and PDF. The marriage of XAML and WPF allow for 2D and 3D imaging, animation, audio, video, multipage fixed format and flow format documents. XAML and WPF delivers quick and economical 2D and 3D vector based application and web user interfaces. The XAML file format works great in delivering revolutionary web sites and can also be used in .NET Applications.

Imagine doing virtually everything on the UI development with only a few lines of Syntax. That's XAML!

Why look into XAML now?

As long as you have the latest WinFX SDK from Microsoft, you can run WPF on XP and Windows 2003 Server. This means that organizations that are looking at launching software applications as early as next year, are starting to understand and use XAML today. Mobiform's XAML Designer makes it easy and is now available in the market. By using Mobiform's Aurora, developers and designers do not have to worry about coding manually. Aurora makes XAML document development simple and effective.

This is a great domain opportunity.
