I just sent an email off to the owner of a .net that i own the .com version of to see if he was interested in buying the domain. He is, and is asking me how much i want for it... im not sure what to ask for. The .net site is for a club in the UK.

Any suggestions? NP$ to anyone who can help me out. ;)

Find out how his site is popular. Check out your domain positioning in SE. Calculate the value.

Agree, find out as much info about him and his company, know your buyer.

Hmm, I have an identical situation with some of my domains but have yet to approach anyone, figuring it would be much better the other way around... ;) Lotsa psychology here I guess, as well as possible trademark issues etc., but without knowing the actual domain you want to sell I have no idea what to ask, ie I believe you must start out with an estimated value on the domain as a single property. Then possibly multiply by a factor for the added value of the buyer owning the combo. Also, what would happen if the domain ended up in the hands of the intended buyer's competition?

LOL, I really don't know but it's a very interesting question :)

Your title is a bit misleading. For a second I thought you actually owned x.com and I was like, why would the owners of x.com (used to be a bank, now paypal) sell out to x.net??

Yes I had similar ,I offered price for a *.com for which i had *.net , owner said not enough and let it lapse instead of selling it . So don't ask to much for it.
I did meanaged to get it as expired though ,but that was only by luck.

If it is for a club in the UK, check out the status of the club. Is it in London? Is it Stringfellows? :red: If it is a 'standard' nightclub, then ask for $500 and maybe negotiate down to $250 if the name has no special meaning.....
