www.WillHillsCasino.co.uk

Bought these domains with the idea of promoting the world famous William Hills Poker site and Casino. Obviously as an affiliate and make a few quid as the domain names are virtually the same as will hills own. Due to the birth of my wonderful son(5 months old) and my other website which i am working on promoting I have not had the time to do anything with them.

Does anyone think they are worth selling and what will they fetch or should I just hold onto them for now?

These scream TM infringements to me personally, although if William Hill don't go after you then you could make a fair bit through an affiliate program. I don't think they have much value however as many would be scared off by the threat of a cease and desist letter

I think if the domain names where used as an affiliate website then it would be ok because the more people use the site the more money william hill will make from new customers.

Any other thoughts are most welcome.

It's really a catch-22. I mean, they probably won't bother if the name brings no money in (i.e. Visitors not signing up to the site) but if it suddenly takes off, then they will take it off of you and raise their profit margins slightly by doing so.

Hi there,

William hill will take these off you. It wont be through a DRS at nominet it will be through the high court, this happened to me a few months ago, ended up costing me over 17k for queens council.

The worst thing about it is, most of the big business don't want the name, i offered to give them the name but its all about protecting the tm, and making an example.
