Make/things/Better dot com sold for a whooping $25,000 at Sedo.

Now I know I am not that good with the domain selling part so far, but come on man, what the h3ck is up with this three word domain and why it sold for $25K?

Was it a pure luck? Or a big end-user purchase? What am I missing here?

Thoughts anyone!

.US domains.US domains
seems like common (and not to long) phrases have been popular as domains for some time

Now that you've mentioned it, a simple google search brought this up:
linkedin .com/company/make-things-better-ltd

A company using .co. May be they're the possible buyer.

Phrases do sell for good amounts. Not sure how popular this phrase is though, in part I think a bit of a lucky sell at 25k.

I remember MakeBetter.com expired and sold for $1000 in the dropcatch auction (pretty sure it was purchased by end-user directly at the time) in early 2015. A much better domain than MakeThingsBetter.com IMO.

Hmm, shorter yes but MakeThingsBetter rolls better and sounds a better call to action to me...

MakeBetter has more possible uses since is less specific and not strictly limited to "things", but still conveys the same meaning as MakeThingsBetter, so it can be used as a brandable name for all sorts of companies. The current trend for domains is toward shorter brands and domains, and at 2 words, 10 letters, and 3 syllables vs 3 words, 16 letters, and 4 syllables, I personally see MakeBetter as better than MakeThingsBetter. Taking into account the 1k VS 25K price for these two domains, the buyer of MakeBetter got much better value for the money than the buyer of MakeThingsBetter did IMO.
