:bingo: Overdraftrecovery.com
I just purchased this domain a few days ago and am just thinking of all the possibilities, but I need to know some things. Like, what do you guys think of it? Does it really have the possible potential that I am thinking about? Why didn't anyone else register the domain before I did? What are your thoughts on Overdraftrecovery.com?

If that's your intention, then good luck with it. :)

I think it is, I mean hell I ain't got nothing else to do. Hey guys remember to go to Overdraftrecovery.com sometime next year when I got this baby up and running. It'll help give the finger to your banks when they rip you off!

well thanks, but I knew the name wasn't worth much at all. What I am trying to get at here is that maybe I want to actually make the website and grab some employers and start helping people recover their lost fees?! You see what I mean? People are getting ripped by their banks all the time, this website would help them. That's got to be huge right there, isn't it?

Thanks for giving me hope! :loveyou:

Banks made BILLIONS last year in overdraft fees :)

One last thing.

At least your domain makes sense Ive seen some Head Scratchers in the past year. :-/

I know what you are trying to do.
It's certainly possible, but...

As you can already see from SE results pages, there is no demand.
So, You are trying to create the market first.
Then, create demand from those market by educating them about your service.
Then, you will supply solution for demands from that market.

Again, this is possible, but, awfully hard to do and it's typical
when you fall in love with your ideas and/or domain names.
You rarely see much success from this method, but, if you do succeed,
this is where HUGE success come from.

It's your choice :D
Thanks for laying it out for me, I'm going for it!!

Well, I, like alot of people don't use quotes when searching,
never have! I didn't know it made a difference till I came
here. But I still don't use them when I'm looking for stuff,
and other than domainers, I don't know anyone who does.

No quotes:
Results 1 - 10 of about 260,000 for Overdraft recovery. (0.08 seconds)

Either way it'll be easier to find your site than 1 in 50,000,000 results
- provided people are made aware of it.

:imho:
Overdraft recovery without quote will show any pages that contain...
overdraft
overdraft recovery
recovery
recovery overdraft

You wanted to find "how to recovery overdraft fees".
So, without quote and you see pages with "recovery".
This page can be totally different thing.

You put quote like "overdraft recovery" and you will only see pages
that contain exact words of overdraft recovery.

... I was thinking of making it THE website for consumers who simply get ripped off with all of these crazy overdraft fees and ridiculous occurances...
People can avoid overdraft fees by not overdrawing their account. Banks don't loan money for free.

Regarding overdraftrecovery.com, other keyword combinations with stronger search/CPC numbers can be hand regged. For example (not a recommendation), BankOverdraftCharges.com - adwords exact search = 91, CPC = $2.29.

Appreciate it, thank you. I hope it doesn't cost too much but I'm gonna see what I can do!

My website will be aimed towards the people who check their bank accounts and realize that their banks have overdrafted them maybe unfairly or even just too many times, etc... It'll help recover those losses, for a small fee of course. I just gotta figure out where to start, anyone have any ideas?!

Before starting a business, make sure there is a supply/demand imbalance that you can exploit. Do you have evidence that banks often make accounting errors in their favor and refuse to refund the money to the customer? What percentage of those disputes do consumers settle with a quick phone call or visit to the bank? Will you intervene in disputes or offer fast track access to your legal/BBB/law enforcement/mob/Treasury connections? Do you have a passion for dispute resolution? There are many more layers of this onion, which is one reason why parking is so popular.

Actually it happens, CIBC Bank in Canada was doing extra charges
for years, and finally got "caught" "found out" I don't know
what the term would be. They had to repay millions to their customers.

An example of what was happening:
A customer who did not have overdraft privileges had a pre-authorized
charge go through their account and it put them in a negative balance
by -$3.
The bank charged a $5 Overdraft fee and cleared the transaction.
Leaving a -$8 balance (neg)
48 hours later they reversed the pre-authorized charge and added a
$30 NSF fee!

Making it -$38 for being only $3 short in the first place!

2 charges for the same overdraft service??

It took people communicating with each other to finally
bring it to light.

Might be a good place to go and vent
2004 Overcharging Borrowers

On May 20, 2004 CIBC announced that it would refund $24 million to some of its customers as a result of erroneous overdraft and mortgage charges which were discovered in the course of an internal review. "This is being done as part of CIBC's effort to correct its error and to ensure that it distributes to customers all of the money it received in error," the bank said.[15]

In another similar incident, CIBC announced on April 27, 2006 that it's refunding an additional $27 million to about 200,000 clients who were overcharged for certain overdraft fees and other borrowing transactions, some of which date back to 1993.[16] In cases where clients were undercharged, the bank decided not to seek reimbursement.

If you go ahead with your plan and create a successful business from this theme, a good thing to remember is that the domain itself may never become valuable. There are a few examples of this in the UK.
