Would you buy a site if the seller is the one that owns the webhost and won't give you the domain until 6 months later? He wants you to stay with his hosting for at least 6 months basically.

Depends on the site, and your motivation to buy! I'd also consider the prices he's asking for hosting.

I would clear the things first. Moreover if site is good then there is no problem in staying there for 6 months.

Option 2. I would buy first and then create a drama on email.

Depends on how desperate I am to get the domain name. I guess you have to know that you're taking a risk, and ask yourself if it's a risk you're willing to take.

pay him 6 months hosting in advance (get a recipt) and buy the domain. I prefer escrow type of deals, if you cant get the domain that way i wouldnt buy it

If he's gonna provide the hosting for free - yes

If he wants me to pay for the hosting - tell him to get stuffed.

Ask if you can add the price of 6 months hosting to the final sales price and informally promise to keep it there at least that long.

BTW, why is this in the break room? Can a mod please move this to the proper forum.
