There would be quite a few domain hacks out there for this extension, but the odds are with a extension like that there would be a landrush fee and likely flop like a lot of .co's are

Too many TLDs as is. It's hard to beat a .com/.net/.org

There are 12607 words ending with "ing" however everyone knows that all the best will be scraped off the top long before the public ever gets to see them by people who still having got a clue that the word f***ing or computing cannot be trademarked. (And every one of us knows that the registries will let it happen as they always do)

However, when you get into 2 or 3 word domains then thing will get mighty interesting, but costs will likely make it a complete waste of time.

Fun fact of the day:

Did you know the word "ing" means a low lying meadow near a river?

Wouldn't touch it, as spar said anything good would be taken before we could get our grubby hands on them.

There are a handful of decent hacks. One of the best would be

Market.ing

Would .ing be a new ccTLD? Or a new gTLD?

Ingland! lol

There's a few names I would try to get if .ing were available, but I wouldn't pay more than $25-$35 a year to register one.

Some very nice names, I bet most of you would be surprised just how many nice words end with "ing"....have a look, I bet there are quite a few in that list you would snap up...especially the ones which make words without the extension, like Car, Bank, Market, Fund etc

Even though you might not be able to get alot of people to register domains you would easily make your money back by registering the ones mentioned before and selling them for 50k a pop...

With so many of you jumping to hacks, I can't believe nobody has said hack.ing!

I wouldn't pay reg fee for one single .ing domain - but I'm sure lots of domainers would be lined up to buy them. It would probably do about as well as .tel.

oh really than HC82?
What if I offered you f**k.ing for 29.99?
or how about s.ing or k.ing or fl.ing for 29.99?
If you wouldn't take that offer than I dont think a domain forum is the right place for you...

I'll take them if he passes :D

probably the 1 letter domain hacks would sell for low - mid $xx.xxx in landrush auction, if released...

Additional to the ones mentioned above I like names like Go.ing - Be.ing, and guys did you miss Domain.ing ??

.ing will happen sooner or later IMO... Imagine a domain hack enthusiast with the right funds... there is money in that extension with the right marketing, 12k domains should be sold at least with the right sunrise, landrush, auction BS and at the end of the day there should be plenty of profit left...

I'd only buy them for a quick flip to a misguided domainer like you. There is no value in names like that in the long run - unless you get lucky with a dumb end user or domainer. I'm not in the business of hoping to get lucky by finding dumb people to buy my domains.

So there is no value in a domain that is perfect for the biggest if not second biggest industry online? I'm talking about the domain ***k.ing in case you missed it.
