I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

IMO

Russia think they are a roaring lion when really they a barking Chihuahua.

Biden’s just asked for $33 billion and when you combine that what America as already gave Ukraine, it's about equal to Russia’s whole defence budget.

The Russian military is a mess, the only thing they have is their nukes to try and intimidate, but even that’s not working.

Putin is probably sh*tt*ng his pants. He'll resort to tactical nukes IMO, best to prep (ie. iodine tabs).

Here's a site that simulates the impact of potential nuclear strike(s): https://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/

I'm afraid this is the path the world is on.

I've refrained from posting about this (nuclear exchange), but everyday it comes closer to being a reality. There are lots of simulators out there and I've asked permission to post a link to one but have not been give the go ahead yet. The video below was produced by Princeton and shows one scenario of likely events.

***************

SGS [science and global security] developed a new simulation for a plausible escalating war between the United States and Russia using realistic nuclear force postures, targets and fatality estimates. It is estimated that there would be more than 90 million people dead and injured within the first few hours of the conflict.

This project is motivated by the need to highlight the potentially catastrophic consequences of current US and Russian nuclear war plans. The risk of nuclear war has increased dramatically in the past two years as the United States and Russia have abandoned long-standing nuclear arms control treaties, started to develop new kinds of nuclear weapons and expanded the circumstances in which they might use nuclear weapons.

This four-minute audio-visual piece is based on independent assessments of current U.S. and Russian force postures, nuclear war plans, and nuclear weapons targets. It uses extensive data sets of the nuclear weapons currently deployed, weapon yields, and possible targets for particular weapons, as well as the order of battle estimating which weapons go to which targets in which order in which phase of the war to show the evolution of the nuclear conflict from tactical, to strategic to city-targeting phases.

The resulting immediate fatalities and casualties that would occur in each phase of the conflict are determined using data from NUKEMAP. All fatality estimates are limited to acute deaths from nuclear explosions and would be significantly increased by deaths occurring from nuclear fallout and other long-term effects. The simulation was developed by Alex Wellerstein, Tamara Patton, Moritz Kütt, and Alex Glaser with assistance from Bruce Blair, Sharon Weiner, and Zia Mian. The sound is by Jeff Snyder.

I don't think it is, Putin can end whats happening in Ukraine right now with nukes, he's not, whilst brutal and barbaric he's doing things the hard way, that says to me he's not totally lost his mind.

Same with chemical weapons, he's been warned against that, whilst there's been reports of chemical weapons being used, they've not been used these on a large scale.

Putin's a man who was terrified of covid (ie scared of death), still is looking at the size of his table, for all his macho image he's tried to create for himself, he's a coward who would run a mile if he was fighting in Ukraine himself - He doesn't want nuclear war and neither do people around him, western powers don't seem too concerned about these threats put it that way.

Russia would be finished both by the war itself and for people that survive afterwards, they would not allow Russian culture/ideologies to ever exist again.

For the sake of Earth and humanity, I hope you are correct.

Just in case he can not cope with being disrespected by the world (and a significant number of citizens in his own country) and lashes out like most megalomaniacs do when reduced to nothingness, I have spent the last couple of weeks moving my center of life operations 35 miles from a major city I live near (it is in the top ten cities on the Russian hit list for nukes).

Truth be told, I've been wanting to relocate those offices for a while...the little p*ss ant simply expedited the process.

....and Luxembourg becomes the new world power and everyone starts speaking german. lol. Seriously, when Russia and The USA destroy each other i wonder which country will rise as the new 1st world power or will it be a world ran government? hmmm Will they still use USA soil like for the UN? Although with nuclear winter they probably will be equatorically based. Brazil, maybe. hmmm.

If a very limited exchange happens, in the long run, little will change (just a few cities will be abandoned for a while). But if it becomes out of control and automated systems and responses kick in, the vast majority of humans that survive the initial blasts will wish they had not.

The video below is a pretty accurate take should a larger nuclear exchange happen.

It would be brutal , I don’t believe the world will be destroyed by nuclear war , so the simulated video you posted is pretty accurate as to what I think would happen , I believe that could easily happen at this time .

Donald Trump Jr's recent tweet on Biden's $33 billion package to Ukraine:-

"Hard pass. How about we use it to help Americans in need? Or to perhaps secure our border? Maybe get our energy sector going again? Education? No, instead we’ll give it to one of the most corrupt countries in the world, where I’m sure most will be looted by corrupt politicians,"

Here's another one:-

Biden is asking for $33 Billion to send to Ukraine on top of the billions already sent to the very corrupt nation, but they couldn’t spend a tiny fraction of that to finish the wall, secure our border & end the humanitarian crisis & drug/sex trafficking at our border!#AmericaLast

If he's saying that, can tell his father thinks that too - If his father was still in the White House, I think it's quite evident Putin would have got away with all this, Trump would have been there spouting off how Ukraine is corrupt and deserved it and many Americans would have sadly believed it.

Totally agree. There you can see the moral level and values that little Trump has. Same as his father. Not even an inch of Humanity for what's happening right now in Ukraine.

rite? what happens if this war takes another turn and we need those funds for our own defense, im sorry but we let the government put us in more trouble than we ever would be without it. lol. Its almost a bank robbery of the american funds just to make up a squabble so that they reach into the american aid funds again with their socialist puppets they have in washington, dontcha think?

Don't worry @Mister Funsky I also agree with @Kingslayer I think Putler is more coward than crazy.
Anyway, having a country with thousands of nukes ruled by a dictator is just a question of time. Hopefully it will never happen, but humanity has reached a point of possible self-destruction in a few different ways... unfortunately.

Those funds are already for the self defense of all democracies in this world. If the world don't help Ukraine and let Putler freely invade it, more countries will come next. So sooner rather than later, those same funds will be needed to stop Putler.

Besides innocent civilians, Putler is specially targeting journalists in Ukraine.

Russia killed Vira Hyrych, a @RFERL journalist. She was going to bed when a Russian ballistic missile hit her apartment in central Kyiv. Russia’s barbarism is incomprehensible. We call on media organizations to condemn the murder of Vira and all other innocent Ukrainians.

Ukraine's hospitals have been bombed. Their citizens have been executed. Their children have been traumatized. And yet, despite all that, they have done a magnificent job defending their sovereignty. Ukraine’s valor and skill will go down in military history.

KJB tactic to hold the West hostage, likely we'll see Putin push the envelope with sub-nukes first. Afterall, he has been flirting with disaster since the beginning of the invasion...prob stole nuclear material from Chernobyl for his dirty bombs. Anywho, things could get messy real quick and we either freeze in a Nuclear Winter, or war drags on for a real long time upscaling Global Warming/pollution resulting in environmental disaster IMO. Choose your poison.

1945. Lend-lease was the crucial factor in the defeat of nazism.
2022. Lend-lease will be the crucial factor in Ukraine’s victory over ruscism.

U.S. Congress revives World War Two-era "Lend-Lease" program for Ukraine

https://www.reuters.com/world/us-co...wo-era-lend-lease-program-ukraine-2022-04-28/

WASHINGTON, April 28 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly backed legislation on Thursday that will make it easier to export military equipment to Ukraine, reviving the "Lend-Lease Act" that helped defeat Hitler during World War Two.

The House passed the "Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of 2022" by 417 to 10
, three weeks after it sailed through the Senate with unanimous support. It next goes to the White House for President Joe Biden to sign into law.

The measure revives a World War Two-era program that allowed Washington to lend or lease military equipment to U.S. allies. In this case, it will help those affected by Russia's invasion, such as Poland and other eastern European countries as well as Ukraine."

Sooooo many 'fires' happening in putin's world. Some are old fashioned 'hands on' sabotage and some have origins of a remote nature.

The moron (and those before) that forced their language on neighboring countries that have been 'liberated' since the turn of the last century, has created an enormous force of clandestine fighters that can move around within his borders undetected.

I still have hopes for the average Russian that wants peace and the same things we all do (a roof over our head, food to eat, safety for our friends and families). Hopefully some honorable people can one day restore Russia to a friendly neighbor on the world stage...of course they must remove their little Hitler first.
