I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

How do you pay for the loved one lost? Is money really the healing instrument*?
You don't, but you can pay to rebuild all the stuff you destroyed. It is a good starting point.

Their growth has really slowed recently. I doubt they are going to go all in supporting a country with the current GDP of Ohio and piss off pretty much all the Western nations.

They worked way too hard to get where they are. It would make absolutely no financial or political sense.

They won't go 'all in', but will likely stick to the original bargain struck prior to the invasion (at lower prices). What incentive is in it for them to do otherwise?

Putin's fail will provide China plenty of 'blood oil' to fuel their war machine.

I am serious. Similar to how WW2 ended, I expect Russia to pay reparations for their war to the Ukrainian people (and possibly others).
During the negotiations we will have to discuss how much in reparations Russia is going to have to pay Ukraine for their actions.
And don't forget to prosecute the people in charge of the war crimes that are committing in Ukraine.
They have to pay for all the destruction they are causing to Ukraine, material destruction and killed civilians.
Same way as what happened in The Nuremberg trials with Nazis. Now there's a russian Hitler mass killing innocent people just like Hitler did in WWII.
You can be sure that ukrainians are keeping track of all the war crimes that Putin and his troops are committing in Ukraine, since the beginning of the invasion.

Yale law professor represents Ukraine at World Court

Last week, a team of international lawyers including former Dean of Yale Law School Harold Hongju Koh represented Ukraine at the International Court of Justice, or ICJ, in the Hague.

Both Russia and Ukraine have ratified the 1948 Genocide Convention, which allows parties to bring disputes against each other involving interpretation, application or fulfillment of the genocide treaty to the World Court.

Russia did not appear at the court hearing, and sent a letter to the court saying it “ha[d] decided not to participate in the oral proceedings due to open on 7 March 2022.”

“If [Russia] thought they actually had a lawful basis to do this, they would appear and defend,” Koh said.

While Koh and the rest of Ukraine’s legal team are waiting for a court order to get the United Nations’ peacekeeping forces involved, they requested and received provisional measure orders very quickly. Koh added that the ICJ judges understood the urgency of the situation.

A
March 7 press release outlined the measures requested by Ukraine.

“The Russian Federation shall immediately suspend the military operations commenced on 24 February 2022 that have as their stated purpose and objective the prevention and punishment of a claimed genocide in the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts of Ukraine,” the press release stated. “The Russian Federation shall immediately ensure that any military or irregular armed units which may be directed or supported by it, as well as any organizations and persons which may be subject to its control, direction or influence, take no steps in furtherance of the military operations which have as their stated purpose and objective preventing or punishing Ukraine for committing genocide.”

Ukraine also requested that Russia refrain from any actions that may “aggravate or extend the dispute.”

Koh continued that, while Putin’s short game is centered around force, the world’s long game is law. Over the past two weeks, he said, the case has developed into much more than a dispute between Russia and Ukraine — rather, it has become a fight between Russia and “the post-World War II international legal order.”

You guys are forgetting a very important fact,

In WWII Hitler was defeated,

Hence those who won the War were able to set the terms of surrender and punish those who were guilty of War crimes and make them pay for the damages that they had caused.

But here we have a different situation where both sides might agree to end the War voluntarily without surrendering or admitting any guilt which will give everyone a way out to save face.

So if the diplomatic talks are successful in putting an end to this conflict I don't believe that we are going to see what you guys are expecting at least not in the immediate future.

I am not saying whether this is right or wrong, I am just saying that most probably that's the way it's going to be.

Back when Bill Clinton was president he managed to bring the Palestinian leader who till then was considered to be a terrorist to come to the Whitehouse and shake hands with the Israeli president.

In the interest of keeping Peace certain things were ignored about each sides history of violence,

Although the Peace didn't last long as both sides got back to their old ways after a short while.

I wonder why you jumped to this subject all of a sudden. Your comment here does not follow the subject of peace talks that are going to happen tomorrow (actually today in Ukraine's time).

It's a different subject that can be discussed later.

Nevertheless that didn't happen just to the Black people, the evacuation of a lot of other people (workers and students) from many different races and nationalities were also delayed which I believe was because the priority was given to refugees who didn't have a home Country to go to. (at least that was the official reason that was given).

The best that we can hope for is for all parties involved to declare a more permanent ceasefire in order to stop all the killings on both sides.

The rest has to be discussed through future diplomatic meetings.
