I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

It appears that an American journalist has been shot by Russian forces in Ukraine.

Not saying that one life matters more than others, but we need to appreciate the fact that journalist are putting their own lives at risk to bring us the latest news from War zones.

Did you see the video from the Sky News crew last week?

https://news.sky.com/story/sky-news...-violent-ambush-in-ukraine-this-week-12557585

Doesn't matter who you are to Russian forces in Ukraine (pregnant/disabled/women/children/elderly/journalists/military) everyone's a target.

Chinese press on the otherhand though:-

Yesterday a woman in Russia was detained for holding up a blank piece of paper.

Today in Russia another woman has been detained for holding a flower:-

В Белгороде на площади задержали женщину с несанкционированным цветком.

Видео: Белгород | ФОНАРЬ

A pure dictatorship at its finest thank to their deranged dictator.
And that's why ukrainians are fighting so hard against the russian Hitler. They have a democracy and they don't want to be subjected to the russian Hitler dictatorship.

The Russian Hitler has given orders to shoot civilians. And of course to the press also, hoping that there will be no free press to report on his atrocities against the Ukrainian population:

Russian soldier: "we have an order to shoot everything that is moving"
Inna Sovsun, a member of Ukraine’s parliament, accused Putin of deliberately terrorizing civilians both from the air and on the ground.

“It seems that Putin’s plans of blitzkrieg have failed, and because they have failed so badly, the Russian soldiers are now turning into cruelty,” Sovsun said on MSNBC. “We have heard from some Russian soldiers who have been held prisoners by the Ukrainian army who directly said that Russian officers are telling their soldiers to shoot at civilians.”

Ukraine Ready To Spend Last Money From Budget For Missile Defense Procurement

"There are several possibilities to close the sky. There is missile defense that can be provided to Ukraine. Ukraine has found it in all countries of the world where it is located, in detail, down to warehouses. We did not just ask for help, we asked those who have it. Give us, please. Then we realized that it’s difficult for people to just give. We are ready to buy it, we are ready to take loans, we are ready to pull the last money from our budget and give it right away. Also planes. We were told that you don't have pilots for some planes. We found planes for which we have pilots. And then we found pilots who are ready to be citizens of our state to help Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.

https://ukranews.com/en/news/840863...get-for-missile-defense-procurement-zelenskyy
Ukraine air defense is limited to some short range surface-to-air missiles like Stinger.

https://science.howstuffworks.com/stinger.htm

"The Stinger missile can hit targets flying as high as 11,500 feet (3,500 meters), and has a range of about 5 miles (8 kilometers). This means that the target is an airplane less than 2 miles (3.21 kilometers) high and it is visible as a shape (rather than a dot), then most likely the Stinger missile can hit it. They are extremely accurate."
---------------------------

If they would have some stronger SAM (Surface-to-Air Missile system) like Patriot missile system that have a minimum range of 70km and more, then that would really make a difference and help "closing" the airspace where those missiles would be located.

The idea of Ukraine is very good. I mean, one thing is to give them "jets" or some large-range anti-aircraft system "for free", and other thing is if they BUY that weaponry.

If Ukraine buy that missile defense system, Putin cannot say nothing about it. They are paying for them, so they are getting what they paid for. That's an economic transaction and Putin don't have to say a sh*t about it.

Putin is a mass murderer without an inch of humanity. A real russian Hitler.

To attack babies is ‘an act of unconscionable cruelty’: UN top officials urge end to attacks on health care in Ukraine

https://news.un.org/en/story/2022/03/1113842

"Since Russia invaded Ukraine, 31 attacks on health care have been documented by the World Health Organization. These incidents have killed and injured civilians, as well as destroyed facilities and ambulances, disrupting access to essential health services.

“Today, we call for an immediate cessation of all attacks on health care in Ukraine. These horrific attacks are killing and causing serious injuries to patients and health workers, destroying vital health infrastructure, and forcing thousands to forgo accessing health services despite catastrophic needs”, the heads of UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the UN Population Found (UNFPA) declared in a joint statement published on Sunday.

The agencies’ leaders said that to attack the most vulnerable – babies, children, pregnant women, and those suffering from illness and disease, as well as health workers risking their safety to save livesis “an act of unconscionable cruelty”.

I don't always agree with Tucker Carlson but when I do... it's because he's right.

Everything could easily get worse.

Everything could easily get worse.

So he blames your current administration's reaction to the invasion of Ukraine, for basically all of it, from inflation to oil prices etc.. & says you were manipulated into supporting what he called "the economic warfare" on Russia, & he sounds displeased with how much support a foreign country like Ukraine in this case is getting, especially without an open debate first.

Is that only a reporter talking, just wanting to criticize his political opponents, or are there many Americans who share his views?

On a side note:

I was looking at some of those oligarch yachts that have been seized recently by the West and thinking that those were really nice vessels,

But why should a vessel that large be owned by just one person regardless of where in the World they were from.

I believe that those yachts should be used for public transportation or tours and not end up in the hands of just one person in the West.

In all honesty I find it a crime against the Environment for any one person to own such super sized Yachts (or super sized mansions on land for that matter).

Tucker makes some good points, but IMHO he minimizes Putin's destruction.

Both the left and the right rather have Russia as a friend and trade partner,

But the recent events have kind of made it hard to close one's eye on all the cruelty that is being displayed by Russian forces in this conflict regardless of which side was right or wrong at the beginning.

The guy is a stooge. There is a reason Russia likes to use him for their propaganda. He represents the loud minority, mainly old conservatives who whine about irrelevant nonsense culture war issues...the ones who also turn minor inconveniences like wearing masks, into Nazi like oppressions.

Tucker himself knows better, that is the worst part. He was raised in a rich prominent family in California. He is just pandering to the lowest common denominator.

Imagine how embarrassing it would be if your "super yacht" was seized and it was barely 200 feet long. I don't know how the oligarch would ever get over that shame of having a tiny super yacht.

On the larger side some of these 500+ foot ones have staff alone pushing close to 100 people.

It really is amazing how many ultra wealthy people Russia has compared to the size of their economy. It is really just theft by the ruling elites.

The AP compiled a list of 56 superyachts — generally defined as luxury vessels exceeding 24 meters (79 feet) in length — believed to be owned by a few dozen Kremlin-aligned oligarchs, seaborne assets with a combined market value estimated at more than $5.4 billion.

79 feet. That is hardly a "superyacht".

This is a superyacht -

When it comes to yachts it's more the level of sophistication and technology that determines the price rather than their length since there are a lot of older and larger vessels that although are very huge, but are not as expensive as the more advanced smaller models.

I found that out last time I was shopping for a yacht. :)
