At $1.99 per domain, worth a shot. Let us know if you picked any up.

A few weeks ago I sold Simple.Work for $500.

The .work domain renewals are $2-4/year and the $500 will pay the renewal fee for my other 31 regular priced .work domains for the next 4+ years.

I also have 3 premium priced .work which are...
metal.work $55/year
online.work $110/year
virtual.work $110/year

.Work is my personal fav of all the new GTLDs.

It's affordable / sensible pricing and myriad of ways to come up with creative and meaningful domain names makes it the big winner for general use (along with .Club).

I only bought 2 .work domains.

Veteran.work and OpenNet.work

I got Veteran.work well because I'm a vet. And OpenNet.Work because I own Open.Network and the .com so didn't feel I had a choice lol. But I like .work as an extension. It's strong, short, and actionable. By the time I decided I wanted in the best were taken and I didn't want to have mediocre holdings regardless of price point.

I get a low but consistent amount of inquiries for my .work domains but have only had that 1 sale for $500.

In the past 3 weeks (August 1st - 21st) I have received the following inquiries:

Aug-14, Academic.Work, South Africa

Aug-11, Daily.Work, India
Aug-21, Daily.Work, India

Aug-06, General.Work, South Africa
Aug-12, General.Work, South Africa
Aug-12, General.Work, South Africa
Aug-17, General.Work, South Africa
Aug-21, General.Work, South Africa
Aug-01, General.Work, United Kingdom
Aug-19, General.Work, United Kingdom

Aug-20, Leather.Work, United States

Aug-19, Remote.Work, Ukraine
Aug-08, Remote.Work, United States

Aug-06, Simple.Work, United States (Sold $500)

Aug-03, Student.Work, Belgium
Aug-12, Student.Work, Belgium

It is interesting to see how different countries are interested in different domains.

I still have the same 4 that I have purchased when it launched:

CreditCard.work
Financing.work
Program.work
Quote.work

I have not done anything with these names (yet), so they have been at SEDO. I will get around to them one day but I still have not had any bites... not even a nibble.
Still cheap enough to hold for a long time. I plan on waiting it out.

Cheers

Yes, .work is priced right for waiting it out. Even with a 10 year wait at $3/year, you are only investing/risking $30 total per domain.

That is my whole goal. I am the type that will not pay a premium fee for a domain (its just a me thing) unless its a great domain name in the big 3 (com/net/org).

But I wholeheartedly agree that .WORK is one of the extensions that is meant for long term holding. They are priced right and only a few names had premiums.
I am happy with my 4 names and plan to hold them. I will wait it out with these names.

Cheers

even though i am avoiding the new gtlds i bought a few .work domains. i couldn't resist the price and they fit with a field i am working with. i don't see any. work domains ever being worth much for resale though.
