At $1.99 per domain, worth a shot. Let us know if you picked any up.

Why are you not reg them for yourself?

Good question!

I am keeping my portfolio to under 20 domain names.
I have already registered the names I want from this extension.
(program, creditcard, quote, and financing).
I think I am good at the moment.

With this extension moving towards over 6,500 domains registered... I am just tossing these names out there for anyone who wants to participate. I make no claim that these names that I have listed are any good. That is for the person to decide.
I just want to throw them out there in the public discussion, might get people thinking.

Cheers

Won a couple more of them on Godaddy auctions:

manufacturing.work
part-time.work
teaching.work

Guess that's it for me.

Congratulations. I'm curious how much did you win these auctions for? My .work auctions with GoDaddy also ended today.

Hmmm... I hope they dont try to take XYZs approach in an attempt to get domains out there.
Well... then again... maybe it will help prices if any of us decided to sell our names.

The ROI potential is too good on these names (buy for $2 and sell for $10 and make 5x your money, in other words 500% ROI).

Cheers

I was just looking at about 36 different niche specific domains in this extension for one of my service sectors and I have to say, I was both excited and really disappointed to find out that 95% of the single industry words were available, but had premium price tags on them of $499 to $3,999 per year (every year). Guess I'll be passing this extension up sadly. :/

Example attached ;)

... Continued from previous post::: And then, after a few minutes of speculation and an itchy trigger finger..... I bought "LogoDesign.Work" @ $1.39 per year for 5 years. Guess I'm a sucker for testing stuff out. I have 5 years to find the time to develop it now.. haha :p This one is a keeper for testing and not a flipper. ;)

OR... you can think about it this way, you just paid $7 for a domain.
Within the 1st years time... you are able to develop the domain to make $14 per year, you have already made 200% ROI in your first year.
OR
Within the 5 years, you are able to sell the domain for $35... you have made 500% ROI (5 times your money).
That is difficult to do in any field. Granted it is low numbers we are working with here... but 5 times your money is wonderful numbers no matter which way you shake it.

Looks like (according to nTLDstats) .WORK passed up its big brother .WORKS in the number or registrations.
Score one for the singular.

Looks like .WORK has made it into the top 100 of new TLDs according to nTLDstats.
With over 8,800 domains having been purchased, it may be something to note that low cost TLDs have a tendency to attract people who will purchase multiple(s).

Either which way, I count it as a positive for those who have decent names in this extension.

Cheers

I think .work will be one of the real winners when the dust settles.

into the top 90 nTLD extension now (passed up .Global) and is sitting at about 9,800+ domains sold. The information was last updated on the 25th, so they could be anywhere today.

With a little nearly 10k domains sold and still going up, I hope people got some good names. The ROI on this could be pretty good if the extension continues to move up.

Cheers

So I was looking at the numbers, and something popped out at me.
.Work is now in the top 80 of nTLDs with over 11,300 domains sold.
What is really cool, when you look deeper in to the numbers is that only 2,506 (21.99%) of the domains sold are being parked (well less then 1/4th). That is a good stat.
The other thing that pops up is that Godaddy is the number 1 registrar for sales of this domain but they only have 28.91% of the sales share. The remaining 61.09% is divided among 57 other registrars.

Why do I bring this up? Because another shining star right now (.Science) has hit the spotlight in a big way with nearly 37,000 domains sold.
When you look at the numbers however, they are not impressive to me. Only 1 registrar has nearly all of the registrations. Alpsnames has 33,776 (91.40%) of the names registered. The remaining 8.6% is divided among 47 other registrars. We all know why this is.
The other number that sticks out is the 33,776 (91.40%) of the sold domains are parked.

So not only did people get names for free, but then they parked them. I have a funny feeling that this extension is going to founder in the future (around renewal time).
.Work on the other hand, is giving all indication of going on strong so they be be around for a bit.

Food for thought.
Cheers
