I'm starting a blog and I want to design my own theme but I'm an extreme beginner at PHP so I can't seem to figure out the php codes in order to customize my theme.
I found 'WP Framework' aka "a blank Wordpress theme" and their 'about' page states "WP Framework was created to serve as the starting point in WordPress theme development".
They're on GNU ver. 2 license. But the license isn't that thorough to me, I don't really know the extent I can edit the theme. I've installed the theme to my blog and they've got a footer that links back to their site.
Can I completely remove this? Can I completely edit their theme? Like they've got 'playful' words on their php coding (e.g. "//wasssssssssssuuup dude check out the line below" - this is not what they have on their, but I'm sure you all know coders who add stuff like that to personalize their code).
