Help with publishing Wordpress site

I installed Wordpress and added a theme, but the site does not go live (can be seen only on the example.com/wordpress but not the example.com. I get this:

Warning: require(./wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/49/6879549/html/index.php on line 17

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/49/6879549/html/index.php on line 17

Any idea?

WP is looking for the index.php in the root, it resides in example.com/wordpress

Just copy all the wp files into root from ./wordpress and it should work.
