Ok hi everyone, So I am very excited that I won my First Back Order ever on Namejet, Pre Release Auction. I've done research and learned about looking for a "sleeper" and Good domain that slips by unnoticed . Well I think I found it and I waited till the last 1min to place my bid so it would not get any extra attention. Also I ignored the BS crap estibot value as it was crap...while many other domains with one of the same key words was getting bids, and perhaps the high esitbot values were fueling their attention, I'm just happy I Won as a only bidder. As I intend to Flip this domain as I think it would do well at a Flippa or Sedo premium Auction with some Outbound mkt.

Now my questions ..

1) Can I share the Domain Name here yet?
It's not in my account yet, its a TWO KEYWORD DOMAIN NAME first Keyword is Very strong, second one is very good as well (It's brother had a $50k BIN) btw it's 19 years old 1998

2) Namejet sent me the Confirmation email saying within 7 days, I will receive a link from the register with my new account with the domain name, the register is ENOM , BUT.....

I noticed the the WHOIS exp date has now changed and has a full new year till 2018, though it says "client prohibited from transfer"......is this because when I won and Namejet charged my account the new 1year contract went into effect and simply my info is not in the whois under that name yet, OR did the original owner renew it???? :(

Also I see there is the "42 Auction lock " with ENOM which I understand as from the day I won to 42 days from that day it can't be bought or sold/ transferred ........but some people get that confused with how long the original owner has to renew it...which I understood it is 19-42 days MAX AFTER the EXP DATE...meaning my winning bid reset the EXP date till 2018...and if the OG owner wants to renew it they have until the 42 days after the OG exp date..So they must pay the RE Fee plus Late fee! But if its Expired on 2017-06-02 that means they only have till July 12 2017 as their last chance to renew??

I'm sorry I made this so long and could be shorter, M just confused and excited at the same time and CAN NOT tell if they have renewed yet, and or if I'm in the Clear yet?

Anyone ? Thank you :)

I'm kinda with @rentmynames on it... I'm not sure I like CasinoBooking without the S even.. My biggest issue I think is.. what is a casino booking? Can you book a casino? I go to the casino's (Mostly Louisiana) several times a month, and stay a night or 2.. I've always "Booked a room" (The hotel thats attached) but I don't think that casino bookings is the right term.. now if you had Hotel Booking(s) I'd say you had a killer (right under Hotel Reservations...) I'm just not feeling it.. sorry

I understand both your view points , and not everyone is going to like it . I like it which is what matters to me .

With that being said , there's a ton of company / website that do nothing but promotional music /festivals /entertainment bookings just for casinos !

I live very close to several casino , and I"m a seasoned poker player as well .

With or without the "s" I like both names , and have already found a list of several potential end users .....one being c/bookings . Gr which is short for casino and they are a established casino booking promotional website! There's many more

Either way I'm thankful for all insight from everyone that's how we learn a grow .

I know it's not a premium name but I see the value in it . So I'm happy

By the way you are very correct in the relationship of "booking to hotel to reservations" ! From a consumer stand point it's not a great name and " I don't like it " when or thought about that way either !

Which is why I think it got over looked because I didn't see it as casino "guest " bookings, But I see it from the Business side of the casino and the "acts" that are booked there ever week, month . These are the company's I'm targeting . That's a whole private huge business sector .

Kinda like a talent agency does bookings for modes/actors /talent .

Casino bookings -" we get your company the gig" :)

When you explain it like that I am starting to like it more.. I could see it at the bottom of a brochure or in an email campaign. I was thinking of it as an end user targeting guests, not an end user targeting other businesses, artists, etc booking a casino as the venue.. I think you could do well if you find the right end user

one last thing to point out

I just noticed that on Sedo

Casinobooking (no S) (dot)com has 2 bids/offers with a 50000 BIN meaning idk who or how much but at least two offers have been made on it.

So I'm excited to see what I end up doing with this, being that I will let it go for less then that...I don't see me Not making a sale with this name.

Probably the owner got two offers for 90+ at first, after that s/he change to BIN for 50k.

Going to clear up some incorrect information shared by others here:

1. This was not an expired domain but a private seller domain auction. NJ charges $79 for an expired domain and you can backorder it. If it does not have any backorders, the domain is not "caught" and hence subsequently deleted. If it has one backorder, the sole backordering party wins the domain. If there are >1 backorders, it goes into a private auction.

2. On the other hand, if the domain is being auctioned by a private seller, it is in auction and needs at least 2 bidders to go into auction (if there's only one bidder and the bid is above reserve, the sole bidder wins the auction). Starting Bids in these auction is $69 (which is what the OP paid and hence this is what s/he participated in)

3. For expired auctions, a previous owner cannot file a TDRP (which is needed for them to recover a domain back from a transfer) once it is in your account. For a private seller auction, the previous owner can technically file a TDRP but they'll have a hard time convincing the registrars to rule successfully in their favor.

4. The 42-day auction lock is a policy to disallow immediate auctions, primarily as a result of a. transfer locks enforced as per ICANN policy and, slightly less importantly, to prevent immediate reauctions and transfers in case the domain is stolen.

Hope this clarifies some of the aspects of the discussion.

@DomainBarracksRob : Congratulations on winning the domain. Good luck with it

Much a do about...?!
Too much excitements. Don't worry, you'll grow over it.
For now, I'll save my congrats - until you've sold the domain for a profit.
